5 things I’m shopping for this season
My Spring shopping is almost complete. I’ve been honing in on all of the Spring trends and getting them down to just the Spring wardrobe essentials. Which included pieces and dresses that I’m missing to complete on trend whole outfits for 2023. My Spring closet must haves include white boots, gold sandals since metallics are in style, and a neutral top handle bag with gold hardware that goes with everything. As well as gold hoop earrings and a satin slip dress which are both trending now and I that I can wear from now through Fall by layering under a blazer or shrug or adding a long sleeve top or sweater underneath.

Here’s my spring shopping list of my fashion picks and Spring must haves as well as Summer to make complete outfits.
My top 5 Spring shopping closet additions
1. Gold hoop earrings
Gold jewelry and gold hoop earrings aren’t just a Spring must have but something I’ll wear all year. They’re still in fashion this year and these ones are under $30. I went for a bright gold pair (as I have a vintage gold pair that were my Nans) that had a little detailing on them vs just plain gold hoops. If they’re sold out there’s lots more options here. I highly recommend going for a real gold pair if your skin tends to turn green/blue with other metals.
2. Neutral Top Handle Bag | Mine Arrives March 2nd
Neutral bags are one of those Spring closet wardrobe essentials that goes with everything. Because I was investing in a bag, I wanted a classic shape and style that won’t date. Which is why I chose the Lady Dior medium size bag with gold hardware.
The micro is super cute but too small to be practical for me personally for everyday and the large just drowns me. The medium is perfect for day to night and still big enough for my phone. Plus quilting will always be a classic style including for 2023. It’s a practical, elegant option for Spring and Summer 2023.
3. Spring Shopping | Gold High Heel Sandals
Gold strappy high heel sandals or platform heels. As seen at Carolina Herrera, Flying Solo, Christian Cowan, Bronx and Banco, Zuhair Murad and Versace to name a few.
As much as I love platform heels, I wanted a classic style so that I can get a few seasons wear out of them. Since they’re set to stay in style for at least the next 2 seasons I don’t mind spending a bit more on them as Sarah Flint heels tend to be more comfortable than most.
I also wanted gold to replace my nude pageant platform heels I was wearing under my gowns as a classier option. I’ll add pics when they arrive and after I’ve had a pedi as I just had surgery on my big toe.

4. White knee high boots
White knee high boots are still trending in a big way for 2023 fashion. I tried to find ones in practical materials since white can be a tough color to keep clean. They’re one of those styles you don’t need to spend a lot on and that look just as good with sweater dresses as they do jeans. Which is why they’re on my Spring must haves list.
5. Satin Slip Dress
I love satin slip dresses and have been wearing them for the last few years. I’ve rented a few from Fashionpass (use code EVE1E for $15 off) but finally ended up ordering this one from Zara as it was such a pretty shade of pink. It also has the most stunning back and I can wear it with my pink Versace bag or the Lady Dior and with flats or heels. It also folds up super tiny for packing on vacation.
