Corset and bustier tops. If you don’t want to wear the dress, corset tops are just as popular and easy to dress up or down. Style them with mini skirts, jeans or high waisted pants if you want to show less skin. As seen at Burberry, Balmain and Dior to name a few.
5. Y2K Winter Fashion 2022 | Low Rise Pants
Winter fashion women’s trends include low rise pants are in style for 2022-2023. Especially with your underwear showing. Personally I’m keeping my underwear below my waistband but still love this style for not cutting into your waist and a more casual look for the day. Whether that’s low slung jeans or cargo pants with a white tank. Add winter trend #10 the biker jacket for extra warmth.
6. Bright Colors Winter Fashion Outfits 2022-2023
Staying on trend from all of 2022, bright colors are sticking around for Winter 2022-2023. Versace and Valentino showed some of the best monochromatic and colorblocking looks from bold yellows to bright pinks with towering platform heels and hair and makeup that had a totally retro feel.

Grey days always give me a little S.A.D so I’m loving this color therapy trend. Plus it brightens everyone else’s day too. Don’t worry about coordinating them, clashing colors like red and pink as seen at Versace are right on trend.
Buckles are everywhere on clothing and boots this season. They give an edgy look and work well with the leather, latex and biker jacket trend.
8. Lavender-Ultraviolet | Winter fashion color trends 2022
Lavendar-Ultraviolet is competing with pink and red as the color for the season in womens winter fashion. As seen at Stella McCartney, Bottega Veneta, Chanel and Zuhair Murad. I’m still keeping my pink in rotation but adding some of this pretty color to change it up.
9. Faux Fur Coats
Faux fur coats are still in style for 2022 – 2023 but this year it’s back to neutrals. There were some bright colors like hot pink but it was mainly neutrals at the Fall Winter 2022-2023 fashion shows.
This is the coziest and most practical womens winter fashion trends for 2022. Grab a snuggly coat or one with a faux fur collar and you can update any of your winter outfits and give them an on trend look for Winter 2022.
10. Biker Jackets | Edgy Womens Winter Fashion
Biker jackets are one of the most wearable Winter 2022-2023 trends. As seen at Dior, Versace, Loewe and Miu Miu. Style them with all of your winter outfits from mini dresses to jeans. I can’t wait to get my moto jackets back on rotation.
11. Leather Pants
I’ve worn leather joggers for the last few years especially for traveling and everyday comfort as they’re so versatile, see 11 ways to style leather joggers for style inspo. I think I’m going to pull the trigger and finally buy leather pants this year for a more elegant look and to style under winter fashion trend #12…
12. Sheer dresses
Sheer fabrics might seem more suited to Spring and Summer but they bring back the art of layering and give a feminine touch to sometimes stark winter styles. See through dresses and sheer long black dresses were seen at Fendi, Valentino and Chanel to name a few.
This trend continues from last year and sounds daunting. However, styled worn over black pants rather than just lingerie makes this winter trend wearable IRL.
The other way to wear this Bridgerton inspired winter trend is by layering pieces to create a really unique and more delicate look for the day or night. Try layering a sheer long sleeve top or skirt over camisoles, slip dresses, knitted fabrics or turtlenecks.
This is a winter trend to have fun experimenting with and the one above is the one I have favorited that I’ll probably end up buying to wear for my birthday in November.
13. Red Winter Fashion 2022-2023
Red is another color that kept popping up at the Fall Winter 2022-2023 fashion shows. While it might not be original, it’s a pretty seasonal classic that’s empowering and that I adore.
14. Thigh High Boots | Womens Winter Fashion Shoe Trends
Thigh high boots and pantaboots are giving knee high and ankle boots a run for their money. I’ve always been a huge fan of them, especially with leggings, black jeans and sweater dresses so mine are coming back out for Winter 2022. As seen at Givenchy, Bottega Veneta, Diesel and Dolce & Gabbana. The longer the better.
After trying several different brands, I ended up with this suede pair from ASOS that are under $100. They’re not just great for this years Winter fashion trend but are a classic style I can wear for more than one season.
15. Micro Mini Skirts
Micro mini skirts are staying in style for Winter 2022-2023. If last year was shorts and tights, this year is the mini skirts turn. They’re easy to style with knee high boots or over the knee socks for more of that Y2K aesthetic.
As seen at Courrèges, Diesel and Miu Miu. For a more practical way to wear this trend that looks like a micro mini but without the risk of flashing, check out skorts instead.
For an edgier winter fashion 2022 look, style your mini skirt or mini dress with chunky, thick sole biker boots.
16. Leather and Latex
Latex and leather everything from leather dresses to jackets. Think sexy buckles, cut outs and thigh high boots for this red hot trend as seen at Alaïa, Ambush and Courrèges. For a more wearable look, go for the elegant leather dresses as seen at Alexander McQueen, Khaite, Chanel and Bottega Veneta.
17. Houndstooth and Plaid Blazer and Skirt Sets
Houndstooth and plaid blazer and skirt sets were seen at Versace, Marine Serre and Chanel. Style them with denim corsets, crop tops or leather to make this feel fresh for 2022/2023 versus office wear. Although you can never go wrong with classic styling.
18. Fitted Catsuits
Fitted catsuits aka jumpsuits from athletic to evening wear with sexy sheer panels, black to colorful prints were seen at Dior, Schiaparelli, Carolina Herrera Balmain and Nensi Dojaka.
I have quite the collection of jumpsuits as they’re so easy to throw on without having to coordinate a top and bottom and work in the Vegas winds. The other fab thing about this winter fashion trend 2022-2023 is they’re just as easy to throw on with sneakers or flat boots and a jacket for the day as they are to dress up with high heel knee high boots and a belt for the evening.
If you’re worried about it clinging in the wrong places a long line blazers easy to throw on over the top.
Revolve has a really extensive selection of both fitted more athletic styles all the way through to the most fabulous sparkly styles which also checks off winter trend #19.
19. Glittering Details | Sparkly Womens Winter Fashion Trends 2022-2023
Glittering details, boas, feathers and anything 1920’s glam. As seen at Giorgio Armani, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini and Chanel.
While we’re talking of glam, party styles bring on the sequins. It’s another one of the major winter fashion trend for 2022. The sparklier the better for this one and the pageant queen me is all over this trend.
20. Metallic Boots To Complete Your Winter Outfits
Metallic boots are keeping the glam style going from cowboy ankle boots to high shine over the knee boots. Style them with whatever you’d normally wear your knee high or ankle boots with for a glam on trend touch.
The metallic trend that started this Fall is continuing into Winter. It’s an easier trend to pull off than you might think as it’s made for the holiday season. If you want to look less disco dive and more everyday, style a subtly metallic top with fitted jeans or a metallic sweater dress with knee high boots.
Then switch up to a mini skirt for the night. Or grab this winter trend by the horns and go all out with your holiday party dresses this Winter.
This is an easy trend to combine with the sequin trend (below).
21. 3 Piece Pants Suits
As seen at Tod’s, Sportmax and The Row. Style the waistcoat over a shirt and tie or roll neck sweater for extra warmth or wear on its own for a sexier look. This style works with everything from loafers to heels. This is an easy winter trend to adopt for the office or a smart and chic everyday look.
22. Matching flares sets
Flares are very much in style for 2022-2023. Rivaling the Y2K and 90’s vibes, the 60’s aesthetic is making its way back too. Matching flares and tops sets were all over the Fall Winter runways, bonus points if it’s a crop top and flares set. As seen at Etro and Giambattista Valli.
23. Maxi Coats | Winter Fashion 2022-2023 Outerwear Trends
Maxi coats are another super practical and wearable Winter trend for 2022-2023. As seen at Balmain, Khaite, Bevza, and Valentino in everything from white to hot pink, faux fur to wool.
24. Skirt Suits
Skirt suits worn with knee high boots or pumps are perfect for work or play. As seen at Oscar de la Renta, Sergio Hudson,Prada, Chanel and Prabal Gurung.
25. Cape coats
I’ve always loved cape coats. They make me feel like a power player styled with stiletto heels and are a more elegant option to wear with cocktail dresses in the Winter than a big bulky coat. Channel your inner teacher or superhero with cape coats in all colors. As seen at Dior, Valentino and Gabriela Hearst.
26. Long Mutton (aka puff) Sleeves
Long Mutton sleeves (aka puff sleeves) have been around for the last few years and are still in style for 2022-2023. As seen on the long dresses at Ulla Johnson, Simone Rocha and Fendi. I personally love this feminine look and have a few sweater dresses, blazers and cocktail dresses like the one below that’s on sale with this style sleeve.
27. Bow details
Bow details are still in style for 2022-2023. As seen on the cutest dresses at Valentino, Schiaparelli, Chopova Lowena and Jason Wu Fall Winter 2022-2023 fashion shows. This is another winter trend I’m latching onto.
28. Long Opera gloves
I’ve been waiting for ladylike opera gloves to come back in fashion ever since Dua Lipa rocked long white leather gloves in Levitating and again this week after just watching the movie ‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’.
I’ve always loved the glamorous retro looks from the 60’s and bought a pair to wear to a ball this Summer. Plus long gloves are great for hiding nails that are overdue a manicure and my hands are always freezing!
Wear them with a cap or 3/4 length sleeve to make the most of them and wait for the compliments to roll in. I’ve added a pair that works with touch screens if the thought of taking them on and off all of the time annoys you.
As seen at Proenza Schouler, Dion Lee, Simone Rocha, Off-White, Dior, and Balmain.
