An honest review of Lost Spirits Distillery Las Vegas
Lost Spirits Distillery and Area 15 are one of those Las Vegas things to do and places to visit that as soon as I heard about, I wanted to check out. I’ve been wanting to go to Area 15 since it opened as you really have to visit it for yourself to fully understand and appreciate the place. As the Area 15 exhibits and what there is to do isn’t that clear from their website but it looked so different from the normal eating and drinking Vegas things to do. We’ve lived here since 2014 but still love doing all of the Vegas’y things. This tour’s under $50 for residents so we rallied our boozy friends to go and check it out.
Lost Spirits Distillery Tour Review
If you’re looking for a unique, adults only, fun thing to do in Vegas and to escape the heat, Lost Spirits Distillery is the place to come (not sponsored, we all paid for our tickets).
We’re all locals, went with no expectations and all came out saying that it’s one of the most fun and interactive things to do in Las Vegas that we’ve done in a while. It’s also pretty reasonable for 2 hours entertainment.
We went as a group of 6 which was the perfect size and made it more fun than going just as a couple. I’m glad I wore flats as there’s a decent amount of walking and darkness.
I don’t want to give too much away as the things you’re not expecting are the best bits. We also stopped for a post tour drink at the tree bar inside Area 15 which is a really buzzy spot to stop for a cocktail and people watch.
A Peek Inside Lost Spirits Distillery
I’ve missed some parts to hide the surprises like the Magic Elevator room and some of the rooms already covered on their website like the Dorian Grey room and Submarine.
Lost Spirits Distillery Tour at Area 15 Las Vegas FAQ
Here’s all of the answers to the questions you asked me on Instagram about the Lost Spirits Distillery tour.
How long is the The Lost Spirits Distillery tour?
The Lost Spirits Distillery lasts 1-2 hours depending on your pace. It’d be hard to do the tour in less than an hour as there’s the distillery tour before you get to the tasting rooms and the Tuk Tuk rides there and back.
What’s the dress code?
There’s no dress code but there is a decent amount of walking and darkness so flats are definitely a better shoe choice than heels.
Where is Lost Spirits Distillery?
Lost Spirits Distillery is located inside Area 15 Las Vegas about 5 minutes from the Las Vegas strip. It’s really easy to find once you’re inside Area 15 as their check in is too big to miss. Just make a right in front of the giant lit up skull as soon as you get inside Area 15 & you’ll see the entrance.
Are there gluten free options?
If you’re gluten free, they have you covered as all of their spirits are gluten free. They don’t serve food so line your stomach ahead of time.
Is there anything but rum to drink inside Lost Spirits Distillery?
On the Lost Spirits Distillery website it mentions hidden bars where you could buy drinks but we didn’t find any of those. It had only been opened for a week so maybe they weren’t fully open.
Are there other bars at Area 15?
There are other places to get drinks in Area 15 though either before or afterwards. Like the tree bar in the middle which is always a good spot for people watching. It’s definitely worth having a wander around Area 15 while you’re there as it doesn’t cost anything.
Is there parking at Area 15 or should be just book transport?
Be warned, the rum and whisky is strong! The weakest one you’ll try is 90 Proof. So although there’s free parking at Area 15 for the Lost Spirits Distillery having a designated driver or Uber/Lyft is recommended.
When’s the best time to visit Lost Spirits Distillery & Area 15?
If you’re looking for the quietest time to go, Monday or Thursday afternoon are going to be your best bet. It’s closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays but open 12-7:30pm Monday and 12-10pm Thursday-Sunday.
Definitely make a reservation way ahead of time though as they’re pretty booked up.
