If you’ve felt like your wardrobe needed a jolt of color and personality lately, you’re not imagining it, after years of neutral, hushed dressing, 2026 fashion trends are all about bold color, maximalist jewelry, and a genuine sense of newness driven by a wave of new creative directors taking over major houses, Chanel’s Matthieu Blazy chief among them. I’ve rounded up the biggest fashion trends for 2026 based on what Vogue, Who What Wear, Pinterest’s own trend predictions and the runways are all pointing to, along with wearable, designer and luxe for less ways to shop each one whatever your budget. 1. Loud Luxury – Fashion trends 2026
Quiet luxury officially had its moment, and 2026 is doing the opposite. Loud luxury is the trend to know this year, voluminous silhouettes, statement fabrics, and unapologetic maximalism replacing the hushed, logo free dressing that dominated the last few years. Saint Laurent’s head to toe leather looks and Missoni’s chevron prints (more on that below) both fall firmly into this camp.
2. Bold, Clashing Color
After seasons of camel, white and black, color is back, and not just one shade at a time. Think cherry red, bubblegum pink, cobalt and lilac worn together rather than kept separate, as seen at Loewe, Dior, Fendi, Versace and Meryll Rogge. If committing to full color feels like a big jump, ease in through accessories or swimwear first before working it into full outfits.
3. 80s Silhouettes and Broad Shoulders
Power dressing is back, and it’s one of Pinterest’s own top predictions for 2026. I love shoulder bags for making the waist look smaller and an 80s power dressing look so I’m happy to see structured, broad shoulder blazers and strong silhouettes having a genuine moment. A world away from the soft, relaxed tailoring of recent years.
4. Brooches
Maximalist jewelry is having a real moment for 2026, and brooches are the easiest entry point. This isn’t the fussy pearl cluster brooch of decades past, think bolder, more retro pieces, with Chanel under Matthieu Blazy leading the charge on this one. I’ve always loved this accessory, thanks to my Mum’s influence, for instantly being able to add some personality or elevate an outfit.
5. Statement jewelry
Instead of the cookie cutter Van Cleef and Cartier pieces we’ve seen over the last few years, for 2026, think jewelry that’s more unique to your personal style. Beyond brooches, jewelry generally is going bigger and bolder for 2026. Chunky chain necklaces, oversized hoops and statement cuffs are replacing the delicate, minimalist pieces that have dominated for years. It’s one of the easiest ways to update your wardrobe for 2026.
6. Feather fashion trends 2026
Feathers showed up in dramatic colors and textures at both Balenciaga and Chanel this season, a genuinely maximalist, loud luxury detail that works as a small accent (a feathered cuff or collar) or a full statement piece. It’s a trend that seems to keep coming back in fashion and I’m not mad about it, I love this retro glam aesthetic. Wear them in, wear them out, just wear them!
7. Fringe and Tassels fashion trend 2026
Elie Saab and Louis Vuitton both leaned into fringe and tassel detailing, often in neon or bold color rather than the more subdued, western inspired fringe we’ve seen in past seasons.
8. Utilitarian Khaki
Not my personal favorite fashion trend for 2026 but highly wearable. A slightly more grounded trend among all this maximalism, khaki and utility inspired pieces are also part of Pinterest’s top predictions for 2026, a nod to function alongside all the fashion month drama.
9. Bermuda Shorts
At 5’2″ this is another 2026 fashion trend I’m skipping but this has been called out specifically as one of the biggest individual pieces of summer 2026 so I can’t not share them. This season’s Bermuda shorts are more pared back and modern than the trouser like versions of past seasons, with nearly every major designer offering their own take.
10. Preppy Aesthetics
Preppy dressing continues to show up across Spring/Summer 2026 runway trend coverage, polo necks, pleated skirts and collegiate inspired tailoring remain a genuinely wearable trend for 2026.
11. Winter Fashion Trends 2026 | It Coats
A standout outerwear piece is part of the story for 2026 too, look for coats with a strong silhouette or unexpected detail rather than a plain, classic topper. For someone who lives in Las Vegas I have a huge coat collection as I love a statement coat. The red structured It Coat with it’s gold buttons is one of my favorites.
12. Head to Toe Leather
Saint Laurent sent full, head to toe black leather looks down the runway this season, a bold, loud luxury statement that can be worn as a full look or dialed back to just one leather piece at a time.
13. Chevron and Zigzag Prints
Hear me out on this one for those of you thinking the Missoni print is dead. Because Missoni’s signature zigzag print is having a wider moment beyond just its namesake house, chevron showed up in Missoni’s own Fall/Winter 2026 collection, McQueen’s Autumn Winter 2026 pre-collection, and even Chanel’s Fall 2026 Haute Couture under Matthieu Blazy. Trend analysts place it in the early growth phase right now, fresh without yet being oversaturated.
14. Track Pants
A more casual, sporty counterpoint to all the maximalism elsewhere, track pants continue to show up as a genuinely wearable 2026 trend, easy to dress up with a blazer or dress down with a simple tee.
15. Leopard Print
