Femme Luxe Finery Fashion | Winter Dresses on A Budget
Femme Luxe dresses and Winter fashion finds. My favorite affordable styles for women’s Winter fashion from Femme Luxe including their casual, date night and blazer dresses. I’ve done a full Femme Luxe review of each including how they fit and styling tips. As I know shopping budget brands online can be a bit of a mine field.
Full disclosure I started reviewing Femme Luxe Finery as I was offered to do a sponsored post but continue doing them as they offer such affordable fast fashion.
Femme Luxe isn’t where you shop for your fashion investment pieces or classics but I love it for affordable, on trend, seasonal pieces to keep your look up to date. Some of their styles tend to be on the sexier, feminine, more youthful side which makes it fun but also means some of it I find a little too skimpy for me personally.
I wear a US 00/0 and UK 6-8. When I order from Femme Luxe Finery I order a UK size 6 . If I decide to size up in something when I order, or wish I’d sized up and feel like a size runs big or small I’ll let you know.
Femme Luxe Women’s Winter Fashion
*NEW IN Black and white oversized houndstooth sleeveless dress
This Femme Luxe jumper dress is definitely a mini dress but you can layer it over a shirt and leggings with chunky boots and a gold chain necklace for more warmth and coverage or wear it on its own for Spring. It’s a versatile piece and I love the boxy cut on the shoulders. It’s quite thick material so definitely better for cooler days. For more shape you can belt it.
Sizing runs a little short in length but true to size (I’m wearing a UK SM). So size up for more length.
Date Night or Party Dress Pick: Off The Shoulder Mini Party Dress
Femme Luxe Finery Wine Slinky Balloon Sleeve Mini Dress – Meghan On sale: $23.99
Femme Luxe Finery show this on their website as an off the shoulder dress which looks on trend and sexy but it kept falling down worn that way for me (I need stronger fashion tape).
I ended up wearing this this Femme Luxe dress on not off the shoulder which will also keep you warmer and saves the problem of it falling down. I’m not a fan or bras so I went braless, but you could totally wear a bra with it. You’ll also need a seamless thong as it’s very fitted on the butt.
Femme Luxe sizing runs true to size in this style, so order your normal size.
I pretty much always do straight hair and simple stilettos with sexy dresses (or when I don’t have roots) to keep it more classic.
To make Femme Luxe look and feel more luxe
- Mix designer pieces with your high street or fast fashion buys if you can.
- Add expensive accessories to make it feel more expensive and elegant.
- Choose shoes that boost your confidence. There’s something about killer heels that just boosts my confidence. I couldn’t find these Louboutin’s to share the link with you as I’ve had them a few years but I’ve linked some similar styles.
I’ve found Louboutin’s to be hit and miss comfort wise. I can’t wear the Christian Louboutin So Kate style as I find them really uncomfortable as they pinch my toes but these ones are one of their comfier styles.
Winter fashion tip: to be able to wear your dresses in the colder months, add some tights for extra warmth.
Gucci Tights Review
I was hesitant about ordering the Gucci tights as it seemed a lot for a pair of tights but I’m all about CPW (cost per wear) and have been hand washing and air drying them to try and extend their life.
You’ll probably want to size down in the Gucci GG tights as they’re not as elasticated or as snug as some. However, they are pretty thick, which is brilliant for the Winter so we can still wear dresses without going blue from the cold.
Mr. Dawes is quite into them too; looking at not wearing them!
Read the full Gucci tights review on whether they’re worth it or not and still in fashion as well as some less expensive alternatives.
What else is trending in Women’s Winter Fashion
Loungewear sets have been around for a couple of years now and even more so this year when we’ve all been at home more. These are the best loungewear sets not just for comfort but they’re smart enough to wear with heels too! If that sounds odd, don’t judge me…have a look and see if this look is for you or not but it makes going from the plane to work or dinner much easier!

Femme Luxe AD | I’ve done quite a few Femme Luxe Finery reviews (gifted) and have tried everything from their loungewear sets to going out dresses.
I’ll keep adding new reviews as they release new stuff, so keep checking back so I can keep you updated on the quality, fit, sale alerts (they run a ton of sales) and styling ideas.
Overall thoughts | Femme Luxe Review
The sizing 95% of the time runs true to size. I’ve had the very rare occasion where I feel like something came up small and wish I’d sized up.
US to UK size conversion is never correct. The sizing charts will tell you to size up one size e.g. if you’re a US 2, order a UK 4. Do NOT do this! You won’t fit even an arm in and very few companies even make a size 4. Size up 3 sizes e.g. 0 becomes a UK 6-8, 2 becomes a UK 8-10, etc.
Trust me on this and if in doubt go up e.g order the 8 not the 6. It’s easier to have things taken in than let out. International shipping’s expensive to do returns. Its almost cheaper to order 2 sizes you’re torn between and gift one rather than deal with returns.
I’m 5’2″ and wear a US 00/0 and a UK 6/8. I’m originally from England and lived there until I was 19 so know the sizing well.
When you think Femme Luxe, think fast fashion and seasonal pieces. The quality’s good for the price but it’s not going to be the same quality as more expensive brands. I’ve never had anything fall apart on me but they do tend to shrink in the wash so follow the care instructions and air dry. This will also help make the color last.
If you can, try to shop directly from Femme Luxe Finery UK rather than ASOS. The prices are much higher on ASOS and they don’t have such an extensive collection. It’s good to use ASOS to compare shipping costs or if what you’re looking for is no longer available on Femme Luxe’s website.
Right, I think that about covers everything. If you still have questions about Femme Luxe or your own experience with it, drop a comment below or message me on Instagram. I’ll also keep doing new Femme Luxe reviews on different styles and update this post if I feel like anything changes.
