Goyard Saigon bag are the elegant top handle bag by the luxury French brand Goyard that you may or not have seen due to their exclusivity. Most of the collection features the classic Goyard chevron design (Goyardine canvas), a wooden top handle handle, wooden front panels, polished silver hardware and a detachable leather shoulder strap. The Goyard Saigon bag can be worn different ways from it’s top handle to the detachable shoulder strap but is Goyard worth it? What size does the Goyard Saigon bag come in
The Saigon collection comes in 4 sizes plus a couple of limited edition styles. All of them feature the wooden top handle and optional shoulder strap and the flap opens to a lemon-yellow leather interior with a small flat pocket.
Saigon PM bag
The Saigon PM bag comes in a couple of styles. One made from Courcelanges Calfskin which comes in 5 colors. Another made of Clamecy Cowhide & Decize Taurillon Leather which comes in 2 colors. Lastly, one made from the traditional Goyardine Canvas & Clamecy Cowhide which comes in 11 colors. All 3 styles measure 20 cm x 12 cm x 28 cm and weigh 650 g.
Saigon mini trunk bag
The Saigon mini trunk bag is made from Goyardine Canvas & Clamecy Cowhide and comes in 2 colors. This style measures 15 cm x 10 cm x 21 cm and is the heaviest of the Saigon bags weighting 700 g.
The Saïgon Mini trunk bag goes back to the origins of the Saïgon bag family’s trunk inspiration. With its emblematic trapezoidal shape, it inherits and thus incorporates many of the Maison’s trunk codes. In a miniature and rigid format, it can be worn with or without a shoulder strap for an evening and elegant look.

Saigon Structure Mini Bag
This is the style shown in my Goyard Saigon review on YouTube. The Goyard mini Saigon is made from Goyardine Canvas & Clamecy Cowhide and available in 11 colors. Measuring 15 cm x 7.5 cm x 20 cm and weighing 230 g it’s the smallest and lightest of the Goyard Saigon bags.
Saïgon Souple Mini Bag
Lastly, there’s the souple mini bag made of Goyardine Canvas & Chevroches Calfskin which comes in 11 colors. It measures the same as the structure mini bag: 15 cm x 7.5 cm x 20 cm and weighs 250 g.
Limited edition Saigon bags
There are a couple of limited edition Saïgon bags. Currently, they’re the Structuré PM Bag (28 cm x 12 cm x 20 cm, 650g) and Mini Bag in Lettres Camouflage (15 cm x 7.5 cm x 20 cm, 230g). Both are made from Goyardine Canvas & Clamecy Cowhide and come in 3 colors.

There are 3 ways to carry the Goyard Saigon bags:

- Crossbody

What fits inside the Goyard Saigon mini bag
The Goyard mini Saigon bag is actually pretty roomy which is why it’s great bag for both day and night. I managed to fit a card holder, iPhone, lip gloss, keys and sunglasses without their hard case in the mini.
The Saigon PM is the largest style and fits a lot more. Meaning you can keep your sunglasses in the case and fit a larger wallet and a few more makeup items inside.

Any Goyard bags can be customized with personalization in their boutiques. Including names, initials, various stripes, color combinations and positioning. The options are endless but they do take about 4 weeks to complete.
Where to buy Goyard bags
You can only buy new Goyard bags in their boutiques. They don’t sell on their website. However, if you can’t get to a boutique occasionally you can pick them up pre-loved, often in giftable condition from either Fashionphile or Rebag but quantities tend to be very limited.
The 6 Goyard boutiques in US are spread throughout country in Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, New York and Miami.
How much do Goyard Saigon bags cost
The price varies depending on the size but ranges from around $3500 for mini to around $6000 for the Saigon PM structure bag.

Is Goyard worth it? Pros and Cons of the Goyard Saigon bag
I normally spend a lot of time weighing up the pros and cons of buying luxury bags to make sure it’s going to be worth the hefty price tag to me. These are some of the pros and cons of the Goyard Saigon bag to help decide whether or not this Goyard bag style is right for you:
Pros:
- If you prefer quiet luxury to the Goyard logo there are Saigon plain leather options.
- The structured top handle style is a classic style that won’t date.
- The leather is either calfskin or cowhide depending on the model which is more durable and resistant to scratches than lambskin.
- The wood details give this style a unique aesthetic.
- The lemon yellow interior and interior pocket makes things easier to find than black interiors.
- It’s versatile and can be carried by the top handle, on your shoulder, or as a crossbody bag with the detachable leather strap.
- There are 4 feet on the bottom to prevent scratches.
- The silver hardware is resistant to tarnishing and scratches.
- The Goyard mini Saigon is lightweight.
- The flap closure makes it easy to fully open and close the bag.
- The mini is still big enough to fit an iphone.
Cons:
- The price is pretty expensive.
- The white is hard to keep clean but there are plenty of other color options.
- It can be hard to find to purchase brand new as there are limited stores.
- The Saigon mini is too small to fit a large wallet or sunglasses case.
Weighing out all of the pros and cons should help you decide whether Goyard is worth it or not to you.
