Summersalt swimsuits are known for their flattering styles, here’s everything you need to know
Summersalt swim are known for their honest pricing, data backed sizing, Earth friendly practices and flattering fit but does their swimwear they live up to their ethos? I’ve now ordered lots of Summersalt swimsuits, in lots of different styles (gifted) to put them to the test and because I’ve been way more into one piece swimsuits recently than bikini’s as I like to eat and drink on vacation and not worry about my stomach! Here are my thoughts in an honest review and the best Summersalt bathing suits, swimwear, coverups and Bikini options in their collection now.

Summersalt swim review
Here are the styles I’ve tried so far from Summersalt and my thoughts on the fit, quality and style.
The Ruffle Backflip swimsuit $95
I ordered The Ruffle Backflip swimsuit in a size 2. I normally wear a 0 but 2’s the smallest this style comes in and goes all the way up to a size 26. It’s under $100 and comes in 13 different colors. The 2 was slightly big for me and I wish this came in a 0 so it gave more support and compression but I made it work.

The ruffles and slightly sheer panel in the middle in the sea urchin shade make this such a super cute style. Some of the other styles are more sporty. It’s lightly padded up top so there’s no worries about poking anyones eyes out. There’s also a long torso version if you’re taller, I’m 5’2″ so the regular torso was perfect.
Summersalt Swim The Sidestroke Swimsuit $115
I love one shoulder swimsuits but they’re not always the most supportive. This Summersalt bathing suit is one of their best sellers, supportive and runs true to size. It’s not as sexy a swimsuit style as I’d normally wear but a classic and great for water sports.
I ordered a size 0 in Sky & Blue Mountain & White Sand as well as the solid white version but it comes in 12 colors in sizes 0-26 as well as a long torso version.

Because I ordered my usual size in this, it was more supportive and gave more compression than the black ruffle swimsuit. It also wasn’t see through anywhere which is always a concern with white swimsuits! It also goes perfectly with their white swim cover-up palazzo pants.

Called the “Unicorn of Swimsuits” by The Today Show, The Sidestroke is one of our best-selling swimsuits and offers superior compression…won top honors from the stylish minds at Elle Magazine for the #1 most wildly-flattering one-shoulder style.

Summersalt Swim The Ribbed Sidestroke
I sized up to a 2 in this design and it was still a little too small on the bust. I have a super short torso and this was almost too short even for me (I’m 5’2″). However, I loved the new Iightweight, ribbed swimwear fabric which felt soft and was easier to get on that the regular sidestroke style. The lightly padded cups give coverage without adding bulkhttps://rstyle.me/+w9qWL17XoD4VW-oPHEhWRg. The faux-tortoise ring at the shoulder gives it a more chic look than some of their other swimsuit styles.

The Bow-Shoulder Ruched Sidestroke
I wanted to love this but it was too long in the torso for me so bagged unflatteringly at the back. Bare in mind I’m 5’2″ and all legs so for most people it’d probably be perfect. The bow-shoulder is a cute addition to the regular sidestroke and you could even wear it as a bodysuit.
It comes in 11 color combinations if you’re looking for a print or something more colorful than black and white. If you’re an eco-conscious shopper, it’s made from Summersalt’s signature recycled swim fabric, along with waist-defining seaming, & sewn-in cups for coverage.

Summersalt swim coverups
The effortless shirt dress coverup is exactly what the name says and you can either wear it open or buttoned up and belted. Because I’m 5’2″, even the XS is a little long on me but not so long that it dragged. It’s light, airy and perfect for throwing over your swimwear to go from your room to the pool or lunch. The only downside is that it needs ironing which I always try to avoid on vacation. It comes in sizes XS-2X and is 100% polyester.

Best Summersalt swimsuits and bikinis
There are so many classic stylish swimsuits and bikinis on Summersalt swimwear’s website right now but these are my top picks for style and support. They also have matching womens and kids bathing suits for super cute vacation pics. As well as a Bikini Builder section so you can mix and match sizes, styles and colors to create the set you want.
If you like a style but not the color shown below, click on it as most of them come in lots of different colors and prints. When it comes to Summersalt swimwear coverups, I’m loving the crochet dress, top and stunning blue Summersalt X Kendra Scott chain maxi dress.

Summersalt Swim FAQ’s
Some of the most commonly asked questions about Summersalt that aren’t on their website:
Are Summersalt suits worth it? Summersalt pricing
Everyone has a different idea of if something’s worth it or not and different budgets. Summersalt bikini separates start at $45 and swimsuits from $67.50-145. They’re not cheap but they’re also not expensive and I personally think they’re fairly priced for the quality and consistent fit. The swimsuits thickness, compression and seams are all well done. Summersalt swimwear manage to keep their prices down as there’s no middleman, it’s direct to consumer.

Summersalt fit
Most of Summersalt bathing suits and bikinis run from a 0-26 and the 2 swimsuits I ordered I found ran true to size. The regular torso length worked great for me but if you’re taller they also have a longer torso length in a lot of their styles, so no wedgies!
Summersalt quality
The 2 swimsuits and coverup I have are both of the same quality and I love the extra support and compression that Summersalt bathing suits offer that a lot don’t. They feel thick and durable enough to last and you don’t have to worry about them being see through anywhere.
Summersalt returns
Returns and exchanges of all Summersalt swim items have to be done within 30-days of your delivery date. They also need to be in unused condition with original tags and hygienic liners attached. There are some items that are final sale like underwear, bralettes, towels, face coverings and monogrammed purchases.
