ZIIP Halo 2.0 is the newest at-home microcurrent facial device to hit my testing pile and as someone already obsessed with the original ZIIP Halo, I had to find out whether the upgrade is actually worth it. I’ve been using the ZIIP Halo 2.0 since January 2026, and after seeing the results firsthand, I can honestly say I’m more addicted to it than the original. If you’re searching for the best microcurrent device for lifting, tightening, and anti-aging at home, read on. In this ZIIP Halo 2.0 review I’ll cover what’s new, how it compares to the original Halo, whether the dual microcurrent and Nanocurrent™ waveform technology actually works, tips for getting the best results, real before and after photos, and an exclusive ZIIP Beauty discount code. Ziip Halo review: What are the benefits of ZIIP Halo
ZIIP Halo offers many clinically backed claims which target multiple skincare concerns:
- Reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by 28%
- Boosts plumpness and firmness by 27%
- Reduces the appearance of spots by 44%
- Improves skin tone by 13%
- 97% saw immediate lifting and firming
However, it’s the length the results last that really sets the ZIIP Halo apart from other at home microcurrent facial devices. As the ZIIP Halo 2.0 dual waveforms give both immediate results and lasting benefits that just get better over time. Honestly, I was dubious when I started using ZIIP 2 years ago as it sounds too good to be true. But having seen the results for myself, I know it works (or at least it has for me!).
ZIIP is the only beauty device to give both immediate results and lasting effect. Achieve long-term skincare results through the power of nanocurrent, that just get better each time you us it.

ZIIP Halo 2.0 vs original ZIIP Halo: what’s actually different?
This isn’t just a packaging refresh. The ZIIP 2.0 also called ZIIP HALO 2.0 has been re-engineered to deliver waveforms that are 63% more accurate than the original device, delivering visibly stronger toning and lifting results and clinically proven results.
That means:
- Precision-controlled waveforms for consistent performance
- Improved current output means amplified stimulation for deeper, cellular-level results
- Amplified stimulation
- Deeper cellular-level results that are both instant and long-lasting.
Is ZIIP Halo 2.0 worth the upgrade? My honest verdict
If you already have a ZIIP Halo I wouldn’t say to rush out and buy the new ZIIP 2.0. but definitely consider this when it needs replacing or if you’re not currently using anything. I definitely think it’s worth it and that it works and I genuinely feel the difference in the 2.0. The stimulation feels stronger but still controlled. It’s basically like when you upgrade your phone. Same concept but better technology. I also like that there’s now a cover for the port so gel doesn’t get in there.
How long does it take to see results from ZIIP Halo
The ZIIP HALO glow takes about 6 weeks of consistent use but I see instant tightening results everytime I use it. Here’s what you can expect:
- 0-24 hours: Lifted and contoured.
- 25-48 hours: Brighter skin.
- 7 days: Increased lift.
- After 6 weeks: Reduced lines and wrinkles, smooth skin glowing.
What’s the difference between microcurrent and nanocurrent and how do they work
In a nutshell, microcurrent is electrical waveforms that you can feel. They’re used in anti-aging beauty devices to stimulate the muscles to contract and relax, causing an immediate lift and instant skin tightening that lasts for up to 72 hours.
Whereas Nanocurrent is tiny electrical wavelengths that sync with the body’s natural current on a cellular level. You can’t feel them like you can but they’re used to blur fine lines and wrinkles, reduce puffiness and even out your skin tone for long-term results and the HALO EFFECT.
The new ZIIP 2.0 adjusts the waveform by varying:
- Polarity: positive versus negative.
- Waveform shape: sine, square, direct.
- Intensity: strength and timing
Each ZIIP treatment in the app is designed using a specific combination of those factors, based on science and clinical testing, to support different skin needs.

ZIIP HALO 2.0 has had a complete engineering rebuild – now delivering waveforms that are 63% more accurate than the original device, maximizing your results.
How to choose which treatment or program start with on the ZIIP Beauty app
There are so many ZIIP Halo 2.0 treatment options from or the auto programmed 4 minute face lift to full facials and targeted treatments. The ZIIP app is the key to unlocking all of the benefits for both instant and long term results. There are 17 unique treatments inside the ZIIP app. Each one has its own waveform designed for specific concerns, whether you want lifting, acne clearing, brightening or long-term collagen support.
‘Learn Your Halo’ device, is a great place to start. As well as something like the 30 day plan to get you into the habit of using it. My personal favorite treatment is the 6 minute treatment which is the strongest treatment for instant results. I genuinely see instant results with that, especially for sculpting my cheekbones and lifting my brows. But you’re going to want to use it 3-5 times a week to keep getting those improved results over time.

How to use ZIIP Halo 2.0 for the best microcurrent facial results
It took a little while to get used to how to hold and use the device but it’s super simple to use with or without the app. One of the main things to remember is to use enough gel, especially with the new ZIIP Halo 2.0 as the current feels a lot stronger. If you feel the sensation too much or are going red, use more gel.
To use you ZIIP HALO at home microcurrent device:
- Apply 4-10 pumps of the ZIIP Electric Complex Gel to clean and dry skin.
- If you’re using the ZIIP app press the power button to turn on your device and click ‘sync’ in the app. It’ll light up and beep 3 times when it’s connected. If you’re not using the app just turn it on to activate the 4 minute THE LIFT treatment. The treatment will start once both silver globes touch your skin.
- Either follow the instructions on the app or start on one side of your face, gliding both silver globes upwards from your jawline to forehead. It’s important both globes are in contact with your skin for it to work.
- Once you feel the device vibrate, move your ZIIP HALO and repeat the movement.
- When you hear the single beep, move to the other side of your face and repeat.
- When you hear the double beep the lights and device will turn off and your treatment is complete.
- Wash off the gel.
- Clean your device without water (see more details below).
- If you are doing any of the spot treatments make sure thats the last treatment you do and wash your face thoroughly afterwards.
Tips for using your ZIIP Halo:
The main things to remember with any of the ZIIP treatments are to make sure both silver globes are in contact with your skin. They also just suggest making sure the strokes are going upward and outward, you don’t want to drag down. Safety-wise, only use your ZIIP Halo on the areas they recommend and avoid places like your thyroid, chest, breasts, groin or on skin that is raised, bleeding, or painful.

ZIIP Halo App
The ZIIP app is how I use the device 95% of the time as I prefer either longer full treatments or targeting areas rather than just the quick 4 minute treatment. I even take it with me when traveling as it’s so small and light to pack.
The ZIIP App is available on both IOS & Android and is where you’ll find both longer and shorter more targeted treatments that sync with your device. The clinic level facials include:
- Full facials that are 4-12 minutes each.
- Targeted treatments that focus on specific areas of your face and areas of concern including sun damage and acne.
- Treatment plans that last 7-30 days and are skincare regimens that let you try the different treatments.

How to clean your ZIIP Halo device
Be very careful cleaning your at home microcurrent facial device and make sure you don’t get it wet. After every treatment simply wipe it down with a soft, clean, lint-free cloth misted with rubbing alcohol or use disposable alcohol wipes.
ZIIP Halo 2.0 Pros and Cons
I really haven’t found any downsides to using the Ziip Halo. However, the pros to this at-home microcurrent facial device are:
- It’s lightweight which makes it easy to hold, use and travel with.
- The ZIIP app is easy to use and has both full facials and targeted treatments like the blemish solver.
- Has both micocurrent and nanocurrent.
- There are 4 different ZIIP Electric Complex Gels so you can choose the one that’s right for you based on your skincare needs.
- The gels don’t dry out while you’re doing your treatment.
- Provides instant lifting.
- Nanocurrent can give a long term glow with consistent use over time.
- Ability to customize treatments to target specific areas personal to you.

Tips for using your ZIIP Halo 2.0 to get the best results
Patience and consistency. Like most things, you’re going to want to use your ZIIP consistently to achieve and maintain results.
I like to use mine in the morning before I shower for a boost throughout the day, especially if I’m doing a photoshoot, video or have an event.
I’ve also been loving the results of using my ZIIP Halo 2.0, washing my face, and then following it with my CurrentBody LED mask.

ZIIP Halo 2.0 before and after results: what 2 years of testing showed
I’ve been really consistent with using my ZIIP Halo and now ZIIP Halo 2.0 for over 2 years. It’s the results that I get from it that keep me consistent. Especially around my eyes, my upper eyelids and the overall tone and glow. I’ve tried other at-home microcurrent devices like Solawave and NuFace and really do feel ZIIP Halo is the best microcurrent device on the market.
This is both my instant results from 1 treatment and the results I’ve seen over the 2 years that I’ve been using it.

What are the different ZIIP Halo gels
You need to use one of the ZIIP gels with your device and they act as the electrical conductor. There are 4 different gel formulas to choose from that vary from $25 to $129. Which one is right for you depends on your skincare needs.
