There’s lots of really elegant fall winter 2025 fashion trends for ladies around this season. Women’s winter outfits included animal prints, artful sheer layering and more structured designs than the slouchier styles we’ve seen from designers over the last few years.
I for one am really enjoying the classic, chic but modern aesthetic this season. Think sleek tailoring, elegant faux fur, animal prints, lots of rich chocolate brown, and ladylike long leather gloves.

These women’s winter trends are easy to work into your winter wardrobe and outfits. From trends that work for everyday and elegant pieces that I can wait to wear for nights out. As much as I love my cozy loungewear for working from home, I’m excited for all of the structured, glamorous styles this Winter. As well as to get my turtlenecks, pencil skirts and slingback heels back in rotation.

The beauty of women’s winter fashion trends for 2025 is that a lot of these trends are pieces you already have in your closet like tights, turtlenecks, slingback heels, and Y2K bags, and can be combined. E.g. sheer tights under a sheer dress with slingback shoes.
A lot of the winter fashion 2025 for ladies are also some of the most glamorous, romantic and chic that they’ve been in a while. I’m not a fan of cold weather but these are looks I can’t wait for it to be cool enough to wear.

Just google ‘Fall/Winter argyle knit trend’ and you’ll see how big this trend is already for 2025. It’s probably one of the warmest and most practical ways to instantly update any of your winter outfits. Level up your AW25 outfit and avoid Grandpa territory by thinking preppy when it comes to styling. Whether that’s an Argyle sweater with a neat kilt and slingback heels or jeans with socks and loafers. This is one winter fashion trend to have fun experimenting with and really make your own.
2. Trending hosiery Winter Fashion 2025
Tights are back this year to help create a head to toe lady like look. Pretty much all colors of tights, including classic black made it onto the runway but for the most on trend look go for super sheer. Think 40 denier or less.
Black, brown, and lace tights especially were everywhere for Fall Winter 2025. It was in fashion last year and remains prominent this Fall/Winter too.

1950’s demure dressing ruled the Fall Winter 2025 runways. If you love classic style and a snatched waist, this Winter fashion 2025 for ladies trend is definitely for you. It’s such an elegant and sophisticated look. Embrace this retro style without making it look costume in a pencil skirt suit or collarless blazer and belt it for extra waist definition.

With more and more people leaning into upcycling and sustainability this is an easy way to update your Winter wardrobe without buying anything brand new.
6. Sheer layers
Another winter fashion trend that seems to keep coming back around, sheer pieces are in style again for Fall/Winter 2025/2026. It might seem like a fashion show trend that might not translate into real life, especially in the colder months, but believe me, it can work. Style sheer boho dresses over fitted turtleneck sweaters or lycra onesies, or a sheer knee-length skirt with colored tights, a long sleeve bodysuit, and warm long coat. Find one piece you love and use it to layer with rather than just wearing an all sheer look.

When it comes it hair styles and where you part your hair I’m a big believer in doing what suits your face, not following trends. However, if you’ve worn a center part forever, at least give the side part a go. I feel like we get hair part blindness. If it doesn’t work, go back to what you were doing before. This is one trend you can try for free, commitment free. As seen at Victoria’s Secret fashion show, Victoria Beckham, and even at Chanel’s 2026 Cruise collection. It’s not just at the shows celebrities like Bella Hadid, Sabrina Carpenter and Hailey Bieber have all adopted the side part.
8. Animal print | Sexy Fall winter 2025 fashion trends
I’m totally here for the animal print FW25 trend. It’s one of those prints that instantly makes me feel more feminine and powerful. If leopard prints not for you, there were plenty of other animal prints on the Fall Winter 2025 catwalks. Dalmatian was seen at Dior, along with cow, zebra and snakeskin, at various other shows. If a full on animal print moment is too much for you, try a single statement piece like a leopard print heel or snakeskin boot.
9. Turtleneck tops | Winter fashion trends 2025
A classic winter neckline that’s back in fashion for 2025. Think less chunky this year and more streamlined layering pieces like long sleeve bodysuit. The beauty of this trend is that you probably already have it in your closet and any color goes.

Faux fur is still in style for 2025 including jackets, collars, scarves, hats and shawls. For the most on trend, conscientious looks, make sure it is faux fur not the real deal. As seen at Fendi, Dior, Prada, and Ferragamo.

If you’re style is more elegant or you’re looking for a pair of shoes that compliments the sheer or lace tights trend look no further than the classic slingback pump. It’s only fitting that this classic shoe should compliment the classic silhouettes that are so on trend right now. The chicest shoes for 2025 are minimalist, with sharp, clean lines. 12. Brown on brown | The color trend for Winter 2025
I used to not like brown but the rich chocolate shades and luxe suede iterations have really grown on me. It’s one of those colors that can look really elegant and be softer than black. It’s quickly become the neutral of the season and we’re not just talking accent pieces like bags, although that works too. We’re talking monochromatic brown outfits in silks, cashmere and leather, even better mixing textures.
If head to toe brown’s too much for you, opt for trending brown suede boots or a brown suede bag instead.
13. Long leather gloves
I’ve been waiting for ladylike opera gloves to come back in fashion ever since Dua Lipa rocked long white leather gloves in Levitating and after watching the movie ‘The Last Letter From Your Lover’.
The chic, feminine, 1950’s aesthetic continues with leather, tulle and satin gloves. An affordable and practical way to give your winter wardrobe and outfits an update. As seen at Valentino, Ferragamo, Marni and Max Mara.

Leather is always a part of Winter fashion and we love it for it’s practicality and cool girl aesthetic. This season, forget more rigid structured styles and think more buttery-soft draped styles. As seen at Proenza Schouler, Tod’s, Bottega Veneta, Gabriela Hearst and Bally.
It doesn’t have to be a dress. Leather joggers and leather midi and maxi skirts are also a more casual option. There’s a style and way for everyone to embrace this 2025 winter fashion trend.
