Despite the embellishment, I don’t think of this as a bag that can only come out for parties. I’ve worn it dressed up, but it also works with wide-leg denim, tailored separates and simple daytime dresses when I want the bag to be the most interesting part of the outfit.

It’s still a small bag. It works brilliantly for my evening essentials, but it’s not designed to carry everything you might need during a full day.

Borrowing the Prada Re-Edition 2005 from Vivrelle gave me the chance to see how often I’d actually use it and whether the sequin finish worked with more than just evening outfits.
I loved carrying it, but I already own a black sequin Tom Ford bag with gold zipper details, so the two would fill a very similar space in my wardrobe.
