My favorite CurrentBody devices and what’s worth buying
I’ve been using CurrentBody devices for around four years now, starting with their LED light therapy masks and gradually adding more of their beauty tech to my routine. I’ve tested both generations of the LED face mask, the LED Neck & Décolletage Mask, RF and microneedling devices, and I’ve documented my results along the way, including my before and after photos.
The LED devices are still some of my favorites. With consistent use, I’ve personally seen a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and sun spots, which is why I continue to use and recommend them years later.

In all honesty, I’ve been really bad about using my Currentbody Skin led light therapy masks in the past but once I was asked to write an article I committed to being consistent with both the face, and the neck and décolletage LED masks for 2 months. And that’s the secret!
I was never consistent enough in the past with red light therapy because I wasn’t seeing instant results. Which is why I never got results from it. CurrentBody RF Microneedling Treatment | The only at-home combined RF microneedling treatment
I’ve shared other RF devices before but CurrentBody RF Microneedling Treatment is the only at-home combined RF microneedling treatment. Now here’s the cool part of the tech. The CurrentBody microneedling patches create micro channels which not only help your skin to absorb the hyaluronic, it allows the RF to also penetrate deeper. RF works by heating the skin to trigger heat shock proteins (HSP). When you pair both of these together, the goal is for it to lead to long-lasting skin tightening that improves over time.

If you really want to get into the tech, it also uses Bipolar radio frequency waves. I did the recommended patch test 48 hours before doing full treatment and didn’t have any reaction. After the full treatment, I find my skin is slightly red afterwards and I like to wait at least a few hours before applying my SPF and makeup, but besides that there’s no downtime. Although you do need to wear SPF afterwards, avoid harsh skincare products, excessive heat, and strenuous activities for 48 hours to support optimal healing.
Side note: Do not use radio frequency devices if you have had a professional chemical peel, facial abrasion, ablative laser treatments, botox, fillers or plastic surgery within the past 3 months.
It sounds like a lot to fit into a skincare routine but I do my LED masks at night while watching TV (10 mins), and the microneedling RF once a week right before bed followed by RF in the morning which can take 5-70 minutes depending on if you’re doing just 1 area or your full face. You can also spread the treatments over the week if you want to do more than 1 area but don’t have the time. (I don’t use my ZIIP on the days I’m doing RF).
