With the promise of brighter, smoother under eyes this sounded too good not to try but does it actually do what it says?
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer is Dior’s newly reformulated full-coverage concealer that’s supposed to offer 24-hour wear and hydration that I just started with a few months ago. So time for a Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer review. It’s actually buildable coverage which is better as it means that you can go from light to full coverage on the entire face not just your under eye. The reason I decided to give this full-coverage complexion concealer a go is that my skin has been drier as I’ve recently started on Tretinoin. It’s also supposed to smooth the complexion and enhance your skin without settling into facial lines. I’ll try anything to not enhance my crows feet! That’s not the only thing this luxury makeup must-have is supposed to do. Dior claims the “creamy texture hides under-eye circles, localized redness, pigment spots and blemishes to flawlessly correct and conceal under eye circles with no transfer.” So let’s put it to the test!

What makes the newly reformulated Dior concealer different
Dior reformulated lots of their products to be a lot more natural. The Dior Forever concealer is now made of 96% natural-origin ingredients.

Besides the natural ingredients aspect, it’s not just color correction it provides but skincare and active ingredients that have lots of benefits. The active ingredients include:
- Iris extract which hydrates and maintains hydration of the skin. The concealer didn’t crack or dry out over the course of 12 hours thanks to this.
- Wild pansy extract which helps with the comfort of the skin.
- Nasturtium extract which has revitalizing properties. Dior chose this specifically to boost radiance and the vitality of skin.
- Yarrow extract which helps to brighten and smooth. I need to order an even lighter color than 1N to really see the brightening aspect.

Finding the right shade
I found it really hard to find a shade bright enough in the 30 shades available. As I usually use Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer 8S in Porcelain Sand which is a lot lighter and more yellow than Dior 1N. I’ve tried 1N which is the one I reviewed in the video and photos here. As well as 0.5N which was too pink and 0N which still wasn’t bright enough. So I’m going to try 00 next. I’ll update this review with more photos then and let you know how I got on.
The reason Dior created this selection of Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer shades was so that they matched their Dior Forever foundations. So that you can use them everywhere not just to brighten dark circles under your eyes. I just personally wish there were a lot more lighter shades for more of a brightening effect not just coverage.

What I hoped Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer would do
The main thing I’m looking for when it comes to concealers is that it covers dark circles and doesn’t sit in fine lines. I’m not expecting it to miraculously make my wrinkles vanish or to be botox in a bottle. However, I most definitely don’t want it to accentuate them.
Because this Dior concealer claims to not crease and offer 24 hour wear I tried applying it to one eye with primer, setting powder and setting spray and one without. Not because I’d ever wear but to see how much it actually lives up to it’s claims and we can see what it does versus what the primer and setting spray does. It held up!
Both during a 45 minute workout and all day. It look just as good on both eyes. However, my contour and blush really needs the other products to help them hold up all day so they’re not something I’d normally skip.
How do you use and apply Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer | Application tips
You apply Dior concealer the same way you would any other concealer. However, there are a few tips I’ve picked up from professional makeup artists along the way to get the best results and to help prevent it from creasing the most:
Don’t apply it directly to your skin using the wand. It’s too big and it applies too much. Instead dab a small, dense brush like a concealer brush onto the wand to pick up a small amount of product and dot it into your skin only where needed. Less is more and less likely to crease. It also this gives you more control to build the product.
With more mature skin really just apply where needed and build up the coverage slowly rather than applying to huge areas like you see on TikTok. A damp Beauty Blender is my preferred way to work the product into the areas needed.
A tip to open up the eyes is to apply Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer on the eyelid, beneath the brow arch and at the outer corner of the eye. I prefer to blend in with my ring fingertip and then go over that area with a nude cover eyeshadow to set it.
Don’t try to powder damp concealer. This is another sure way just to accentuate fine lines. Instead, wait for it to dry, buff out with a beauty blender and then set with minimal powder. I personally really like triangle powder sponges for this.
Because this concealer is designed to be used anywhere on the face you can apply the concealer to brighten any shadowy areas of the face. E.g. under eye circles, the hollow of the chin and sides of the nose.
To contour the face, apply a darker shade of the concealer on the forehead, sides of the bridge of the nose, tip of the chin and top of the cheekbones.
Is the Dior Forever Concealer scent free
I found it to be pretty much fragrance free. Normally when things are fragrance free there’s still some kind of a smell from the ingredients. However, this pretty much has no odor whatsoever.
Does Dior Concealer Forever last and sweat
I did a 45 minute sweaty Peloton bike workout and it didn’t fade or crease at all. It looked exactly the same afterwards as it did at the start. Not the same could be said of my hair! I tried this because it’s February in Vegas so it’s cold and dry so this was the best way for me to test it’s resistance to heat and humidity since Dior says this concealer will:

Does Dior have good concealer
Yes absolutely, this is a great concealer for long lasting coverage that creases much less than many other brands I’ve tried and tested. I also like that the buildable coverage and that a little goes a long way which makes it much better value than it might seem.
Is Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer the best concealer I’ve tried
Yes! I think once I’ve tried the 00 it will easily replace my Tarte concealer as it creases less. The results really lived up to my expectations. It does hide under eye circles, doesn’t transfer, doesn’t settle into facial lines unless you apply too much or cake on too much setting powder too soon. It’s as full coverage as you want it to be.
Is Dior concealer worth the money?
At $40 it might seem a pricy concealer but it’s kind of the price point you expect from a luxury beauty brand like Dior. Also because you only need so little this concealer will last you a long time which makes it better value. It’s also 11 ml/ 0.37 fl.oz which is a lot bigger than a lot of other brands. I personally think it’s worth the money and have already ordered my next one, just in the brightest shade.
