Dior sunglasses for women are the enviable luxury designer sunglasses but are they worth it?
Christian Dior sunglasses for women are pretty pricey so I wanted to share my Dior sunglasses review and shopping guide to help decide whether they’re right for you or not. I got my first pair recently and have been loving their aesthetic, coverage and comfort. They’re an easy and instant way to elevate any outfit and add your own personal style to any outfit. I’m more of a classic sunglasses style girl when it comes to designer buys and save the more fashion forward styles to more affordable brands where I don’t mind if they’re out of style after one season.

Here’s why I chose the women’s Dior tortoiseshell sunglasses, the lens color as there’s 4 options for this particular style and whether I think they were worth it or not in this Dior sunglasses review. As well as everything else you should know when shopping for Dior sunglasses, how to make sure they’re real and some of the best styles and prices in Dior eyewear.

Christian Dior sunglasses review | Pros and cons
I have quite the sunglasses collection. As you’ll know if you read Glamour & Gains and have seen all of my other sunglasses reviews and articles. I live in Vegas where we have lots of sun year round.
Besides trying to protect my eyes and prevent sun wrinkles, I just love the aesthetic of them and how easily they can change an entire look.

Pros
Christian Dior have so many styles, shapes and colors that there’s pretty much a style for everyone if you’re looking for designer sunglasses. For the most part Dior eyewear is pretty sturdy and offers good sun protection with both 100% UVA/UVB protection and Filter category: 3.
I find them more comfortable than my Chanel sunglasses which leave a mark on either side of my nose. Maybe because they’re slightly smaller but either way they’re comfortable and the sunglasses case fits in most of my bags versus my Chanel sunglasses case which is a lot bigger.

Dior sunglasses are made in Italy using innovative techniques and excellent craftsmanship. So you’re not just paying for the name but the quality and how they’re made.
Dior offer a virtual try-on which I highly suggest doing before you buy if you can’t make it to their boutiques or one of their reseller stores like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, MyTheresa or Italist (use code RF-220X-D9218D to be entered to win $500 in their monthly giveaway).
Cons
Obviously the price tag might be off putting but that’s about the only downside I can think of.
How much do Dior sunglasses cost
Dior, like many other companies keep having rate hikes. The price of Christian Dior sunglasses ranges from style to style and country to country. However, you can expect to pay somewhere between $450-$730 before tax in the US.

Are Dior sunglasses worth it
For me absolutely yes but it all comes down to how much you usually spend on sunglasses and how much you’ll wear them. If you’re shopping for designer sunglasses and comparing them to other similarly priced brands then probably yes.
I know for me they are worth it. As I get so much wear out of them which really brings down the cost per wear. They’re also an easy way to elevate any outfit.
I got my Christian Dior sunglasses for women in tortoiseshell brown which goes with pretty much anything I wear and in a shape and style that won’t date. As much as I wanted the pink. As you can see, I’ve worn them with everything from sunset cocktail dresses to denim shorts and boots.

Dior sunglasses virtual try-on
If you’re torn between styles, colors or can’t get to a store to try on Dior sunglasses I definitely suggest using Dior’s virtual glasses try-on on their website. Just click the try-on button on any of the styles you’re interested in.
It makes it quick and easy to try on everything you want in the comfort of your own home.

This is the most extensive selection of styles of Christian Dior women’s sunglasses from brand new to pre-loved authentic glasses. Including DiorPacific, DiorClub, DiorSignature, Missdior, Diormidnight, Wildior, 30Montaigne and DiorSignature sunglasses.

The best prices I’ve found for them, besides duty-free, is from Italist as they’re sourcing and shipped straight from Italy.
When shopping from Italist be sure to use code RF-220X-D9218D to be entered to win $500 in their monthly giveaway:
Who is the manufacturer of Dior glasses?
This has changed a few times over the decades. From 1996-2020 the Safilo Group had the license for the production of Dior glasses. Today it’s Thélios who manufactures Dior eyewear collections.
Thélio was set up by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Marcolin back in 2017. Their luxury eyewear collections include Tom Ford, Tod’s, Moncler, Dsquared2, and Celine.

Are Dior sunglasses made in Italy
Christian Dior sunglasses are designed in the Dior studios in Paris and made in Italy.
How can you tell if Dior sunglasses are real or fake?
Obviously if you’re shopping from a Dior boutique, reseller or distributor your sunglasses are going to be authentic. However, if you’re shopping from a second hand retailer there are a few things you can check for to help ensure they’re real and not a fake:
- The inside of the right temple arm of new Dior sunglasses features the Christian Dior logo.
- The right arm will also say MADE IT ITALY (see images below)
- Newer models will feature a serial number and style name e.g. DiorSignature81 on the left arm.

Why is Dior more expensive?
Dior is one of the most popular luxury brands in the World. To maintain the designer brand’s luxury roots their price has continued to reflect that and the World’s evolving economy and global inflation.
In some countries the price is more expensive than others. In the US for example we tend to pay a lot more than in Italy where Dior is made. The 3 main factors for why the price is what it is are:
- High manufacturing costs due to the quality of craftsmanship.
- Price of quality raw materials.
- Limited supply/quantity produced and high demand.
