Dioriviera perfume from La Collection Privée Christian Dior | Is it worth it? Splurge or save?
Christian Dior Dioriviera perfume is the new luxury unisex perfume by Francis Kurkdjian and Dior’s newest fragrance to be added to La Collection Privée Christian Dior. It’s had a lot of hype surrounding it but what does it actually smell like? Is Dioriviera worth it? How much does it cost? I tried the new Dioriviera Eau de Parfum by Christian Dior here’s my review, whether I’ll be wearing this unisex fragrance or not and whether I think it’s worth the price. Here’s everything you need to know before you splurge.

What does dioriviera perfume smell like?
Launched in 2023, Dioriviera by Dior is supposed to be floral and fruity with notes of fig and rose. Like the Dioriviera summer capsule, Dioriviera perfume was created to convey the love affair between Christian Dior and the French Riviera.
So does this sunny, Summer fragrance embody the beauty of the South of France and live up to the hype?
I tend to always start safely and spray on paper or tissue first. You can’t tell exactly what it’s going to smell like on you that way but it’s a good starting point to tell if you actually want to try it on or not. Especially as I’m not usually a fan of predominantly rose perfumes unless it’s just one of several scents in there so wanted to play it safe.
My 1st impression of Dioriviera perfume when I sprayed on 1 spritz was a massive hit of white florals that embodied a summer day in the Mediterranean when the flowers are in full bloom. I didn’t necessarily pick up fig or rose for me it was more Jasmine and Lily. However, it was definitely more feminine than a unisex fragrance for my husband and I.
I left it on my skin to see how it would oxidize and after an hour the scent was still just as strong and hadn’t changed much as it settled on my skin like some tend to do. It was still very floral and a little but not too sweet.
I was surprised how much liked it. I’d go so far as to say, loved it. So I spritzed on 2 more sprays which is where I went wrong. You do not need to douse yourself in this unless you want a massive headache. 1 or 2 is plenty.
It smells expensive! I know that’s not a smell but it doesn’t smell artificial, you can tell it’s quality. It smells modern, fresh, bright, green, floral, summery, and would work for a day or evening fragrance.
Even 8 hours later it was prominently there and hadn’t faded as much as most, even luxury fragrances do. 1 spray was enough for the day, 2 for the evening and 3 was too overpowering even hours later. I had to wash it off. So a little goes a long way, making it better value.
Out of the 24 Dioriviera perfume reviews I read, only 3 were negative. I fall into the positive camp too. I just don’t know if I love it enough to justify the price. As I have Penhaligon’s Empressa for my Summer perfume. Which also has the benefit of being cruelty-free. Dior is not.
How much is dioriviera perfume?
Dior Dioriviera perfume ranges in price from $150-450. It’s part of their exclusive La Collection Privée Christian Dior. These fragrances are released in much more limited quantities than Dior’s other fragrances. Hence, the higher price tag. Dior Dioriviera perfume comes in 4 sizes:

- 8.5oz bottle is $450

Is the Dioriviera fragrance worth it
Kurkdjian creates gorgeous fragrances like the famous Baccarat and I would expect his first Dior Perfume to be exceptional as he has a lot to live up to. Honestly, it’d have to be amazing at this price point.
While I appreciate and will pay for luxury perfumes like Penhaligon’s, they also have to be phenomenal and long wearing. This perfume is definitely long lasting and a little goes a long way. So if you like the smell and don’t have a problem with the price point I think it’s worth it.
