What’s the difference between Miss Dior Eau De Parfum, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau De Toilette and Miss Dior L’Extrait de Parfum Original
Miss Dior perfumes like the original Miss Dior Eau De Parfum and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet are probably one of the most famous Christian Dior fragrance collections next to J’adore. However, there’s not just one Miss Dior scent but several Miss Dior perfumes and eau de toilettes so which is the right one for you? What’s the difference between all of the Miss Dior perfumes? Is one better than another? All of the Miss Dior perfumes have the signature rose scent but with different nuances and intensities. So I’m reviewing and comparing all of these floral, feminine luxury women’s fragrances and explaining the subtle differences so that you can find the perfect one for you.

Miss Dior perfume review
The Miss Dior original perfume was released in 1947 and is still sold today if you can get your hands on it. It’s sold out more often than not. The original version of the new Miss Dior Eau De Parfum was released in 2017 to be a lighter option with less rose and patchouli than the original. However, the Miss Dior 2017 perfume was discontinued and replaced with the latest release back in 2021.
The Miss Dior bottle throughout the collection is clear glass and beneath the bottle is the emblematic Miss Dior houndstooth motif engraved in the glass. All the perfumes in the Miss Dior collection have some kind of iteration of the bow and are a similar price besides the Miss Dior L’Extrait de Parfum Original which is a lot more expensive.
Besides the Miss Dior original and new Miss Dior eau de parfum there are also some eau de toilettes and more floral heavy variations of the parfum. Because of the various florals, musks, spices and intensities there’s really a perfume for anyone who likes rose perfumes in the Miss Dior collection.

In this Miss Dior perfume review I’m just going to review and compare the Miss Dior L’Extrait de Parfum Original, Miss dior eau de parfum and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau De Toilette.
Who is Miss Dior perfume good for
They’re one of those feminine, floral perfume collections that suits any age group. It’s just a case of finding the right one in the collection for you.
I personally prefer them for Spring and Summer perfumes that are mainly better suited for the day. However, I have worn them at night too. Although I prefer Dior J’adore Infinissime, Chanel No.5, Coco Chanel and Penhaligon’s Empressa for the Fall, Winter and evening.
Miss Dior L’Extrait de Parfum Original review
Miss Dior Original was the very first fragrance by Christian Dior released in 1947. It was designed to be a fresh, floral, bold and elegant perfume.
The original perfume color is more of a green than a pink like the rest of the Miss Dior perfumes. It’s ornate bottle is cut like a suit and decorated all over with the iconic houndstooth motif which is still on the base of all of the Miss Dior bottles to keep it’s original heritage.
This was the first iteration of the Miss Dior couture bow. Made of silver thread and grey satin that’s been shaped into a swallow tail. It’s minimalist and modern, intensely bold and as you’d expect from the House of Dior, elegant.
What does Miss Dior original perfume smell like?
The main notes of this fresh parfum are green chypre. It’s a woody, oriental floral perfume with Galbanum which gives it it’s intense green woody fragrance, Sambac Jasmine absolute (that’s also in the J’adore perfumes), Grasse rose absolute and Indonesian patchouli.
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum re-release 2021
The new Miss Dior Eau De Parfum released in 2021 replaced the 2017 version and is now unsurprisingly Dior’s best selling perfume in the Miss Dior collection. As well as the most well known. It was created to be lighter than the original 1947 version with less rose and patchouli.
The bottle is a pretty clear glass bottle with Miss Dior Eau De Parfum in a white rectangle on the front to house this pretty pink perfume. The bow, like the original is still fabric but a multi-colored metallic rather than silver. The bow can be customized with Miss Dior ABCDior letters and charms. The bottle can also be engraved for a more personal fragrance or gift.
Miss Dior eau de parfum comes in 1.0 oz, 1.7 oz, 3.4 oz and 5 oz size bottles.
What does Miss Dior eau de parfum smell like?
Miss Dior perfume (2021 release) has the same signature Centifolia rose scent of the entire Miss Dior perfume collection. Along with Lily-of-the-Valley, Peony, Iris, Musks, Papua New Guinean Vanilla, Benzoin, Tonka Bean and Sandalwood. I tend to like sandalwood for giving perfumes a creamy, richer finish.
It’s powdery, soft but intense with predominant Lily-of-the-Valley and Iris notes. It’s perfect if you’re wanting a light summery fragrance for the day.
Being a eau de parfum, I find that it has pretty good lasting power. Although, they Dior makes rollerballs if you do want to do touch ups throughout the day. It’s better to reapply than to start too heavy.
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau De Toilette
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet was released in 2014 and I’ve been wearing this signature Centifolia rose scent of the Miss Dior perfume collection for years. For me the Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming Eau De Parfum is the best fragrance in the Miss Dior range. As I find it an easy to wear feminine, floral summery scent that’s not powdery. It’s elegant and not too overwhelming for everyday wear.
The bottle has the same Miss Dior jacquard bow as the Miss Dior, woven with multicolored Lurex threads that was inspired by a bouquet of a thousand colored flowers. I don’t know why mine has a solid silver bow. I probably muddled the caps up at some point in the past.
What does Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet smell like?
The scent of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is very different to Miss Dior eau de parfum. It has bergamot essence harvested in Italy which gives it a slightly citrus scent without being too astringent, sharp or fruity.
It’s definitely still a flower forward perfume with Damascus rose and peony but not overly sweet. It’s the white musks that balance this out for me and make it the most complex and sophisticated in the Miss Dior perfume collection
Overall, it’s floral, soft, fresh, clean, citrusy, bright radiant, subtly spicy, and not powdery. Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet comes in 1.0 oz, 1.7 oz, 3.4 oz and 5 oz size bottles.
How to Miss Dior perfume scents last longer
Some of the Miss Dior perfumes, especially the eau de toilette scent doesn’t tend to last as long as some eau de parfums. To make them longer wearing, try layering them with any or all of the Miss Dior foaming shower gel, body moisturizer, body mist and hair mist. They also make a Miss Dior Rollerball which is perfect for touch ups on the go or for traveling with.
