Bistrot Caraibes Grand Case Saint Martin
Bistrot Caraibes is the place to go for fresh lobster and fresh fish. You can choose your lobster fresh from the tank and also choose how it’s cooked. You can’t go wrong with either the garlic butter or Thermidor. For what you get, it’s really not that pricey either.
We started with the French Onion soup and an unusual escargot. They were in a rich sauce out of the shell for a change. Followed by the lobster thermador which was excellent.

Ocean 82 is where you go for sunset views and a buzzy atmosphere. They have great food, great presentation, and unbeatable views.
The oysters Rockefeller and Beef Wellington were perfection and Ocean 82 St Martin is a truly beautiful spot for a leisurely dinner.
L’Auberge Gourmande French restaurant | Best restaurant in Saint Martin
I saved our favorite restaurant in Saint Martin until last. L’Auberge Gourmande is in a 120-year-old Caribbean-styled building. It doesn’t have a view but this fine dining, romantic restaurant in Grand Case has the best French food in Saint Martin.
It’s super cute and authentic and the food is flown from France 3x per week. They’ve been in business since 1979 if that gives you any idea of how good they are to survive that long amongst the competition.
Our top picks include the fois gras trilogy, escargot if you love garlic, and the filet mignon. The presentation is beautiful and the taste even better. What we couldn’t get over was the bill! It’s so inexpensive for this quality of food, presentation and service.
