Summer Styles People Are Already Loving | Trend Report
2021 Fashion trends for Spring and Summer fit in with our current work from home, zoom meeting lifestyle and functionality but are also fresh and feminine. Think lots of contrasting styles inspired by the Spring Summer 2021 runway shows by Chanel, Versace, Balmain, Fendi, etc. Such as structured pieces with slouchy pieces e.g. pencil skirts with a bomber jacket and an unstructured clutch. Another way pieces were styled were ultra femme business appropriate outfits that are also great for post work cocktails e.g. bralettes under a tailored suit.
These Spring Summer styles are gorgeous, playful and made to be super wearable.
I went through the 18000+ gorgeous Getty images from the Spring Summer 2021 runways and read up on my fashion magazines during Super bowl Sunday to compile and share my top Spring Summer style trend forecasts for 2021 fashion trends. Along with my favorite runway versions of each fashion trend, how to get the look and styling inspo whatever your taste or lifestyle. If you want to just shop the looks, scroll to the bottom for both designer and affordable versions of each look.
The Real Real is a great resource for vintage designer finds if you’re desperate to get your hands on a Versace bralette and they’re sold out elsewhere.

If bralettes aren’t motivation to tone up I don’t know what is. With midriffs more on show it’s either be brave or put in some extra gym time and get juicing. There are so many pretty styles from Versace prints to soft black lace to sports bras you can find a style that’s yours.
My Versace crop top is actually part of a vintage Versace skirt set.
How to style a bralette
The beauty of bralettes is that they’re so versatile. Some bralette styling ideas include:
- Under a blazer
- With a suit
- With wide leg pants
- Styled with shorts
- Layered under a sheer top
Wide leg trousers
Wide leg trousers are one of the pant styles I always love seeing come back as they’re so comfy but also smart. Dress them up or down to fit into your lifestyle, combine with the bralette trend or style with a crips white t-shirt and blazer.
I’ve linked some gorgeous white Cult Gaia and Max Mara wide leg pants as well as some more affordable options from ASOS.
Of course Heidi Klum nails this look styled with a crisp white, wide leg pant suit. Thanks to the Bridgerton Netflix series, expect lots more regency era fashion like corsets and feminine maxi dresses to be seen this Summer.
Black and white seems to always be in fashion and 2021 is no different. For the most on trend classic and chic looks, seek style inspiration from Chanel’s 2021 runway looks.
2021 Fashion Trends | Flossing
This type of flossing isn’t the dance move but straps that cross the body. This was mainly seen criss-crossed across the midriff in the Spring Summer 2021 runways.
The thing about this 2021 fashion trend is that it can look great or can go terribly wrong.
Floaty maxi dresses
Giambattista Valli always leads the way when it comes to ultra feminine styles and luckily they’re easy to find on Net-A-Porter and Moda Operandi (linked in shop the post below). I’ve also linked some gorgeous floaty maxi dresses at high street prices that are totally on trend.
Long and short capes, cape dresses, cape tops, they came in all styles. Capes aren’t just for Winter.
Erdem’s beautiful cape dress (in the shop the post carousel below) proved that and the heavier Capes like the black or brown Gucci version are the perfect cover up for cool Spring and Summer evenings.
