Siau Ibiza hotel was one of many when we searched for the best 5 star hotels in Ibiza. We started to narrow down the search by location as we knew we didn’t want to be in San Antonio but somewhere quiet by the beach. My husband also tends to prefer to be on the West side of islands wherever possible to get the best sunset views. In the end we had 2 hotels on our list: 7Pines Resort, Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel, and Siau Ibiza hotel. While 7Pines Resort Ibiza (part of Destination by Hyatt) is absolutely stunning and probably the best choice if you don’t mind splurging 2 things tipped the scales in Siau Ibiza hotels favor for us. The price and the fact that it was adults only.

Ibiza was a very last minute trip for us. We were in Split, Croatia at the time and Rhodes was supposed to be our next stop but it was being evacuated due to fires in Lindos (the town we were booked at) 2 days before we were due to go. So after some last minute scrambling we decided on Ibiza.
However, not the party side, the pretty and chill side. I was still feeling exhausted from food poisoning and wanted somewhere chill and to be able to relax and unwind. Which meant an adult only hotel in Ibiza Spain would be the best option.
It wasn’t the easiest logistically to plan since it was last minute the middle of July (the busiest time to go) and we needed both flights, a car, and a hotel. However, we thankfully found flights (via Barcelona) and hotel options.
Siau Ibiza Hotel review
Siau Ibiza hotel is on one of the smallest and quietest beaches in Ibiza, Puerto De San Miguel. There are 96 light and airy rooms spread over a couple of buildings with either a sea or garden view. This adults only hotel in Ibiza was built in 1960 but renovated in January 2021 so everything feels new and contemporary.
The 5-star Hotel Siau Ibiza is a unique and exclusive hotel for adults in San Miguel, Ibiza. Located in an exclusive area facing the sea and 200 m from the beach.

Because it’s adults only it’s more suited to romantic couples that groups of adults that want to party and most people keep themselves to themselves.
Siau Ibiza arrival | Getting there
We rented a car from the airport and drove ourselves to the hotel. It’s about a 35 minute drive from Ibiza Airport (IBZ). It looks pretty remote but because Ibiza is quite a small island, nothing’s really that far. I definitely recommend hiring a car as there’s not much walking distance. Although the roads and drivers can be a little hair raising at times.

- Calo des Moro Beach – 24 min drive
- San Antonio Sunset Strip – 25 min drive
Check in was easy and we were greeted with complimentary bubbles which I’ll never say No to. We got there around 5:30pm and were still able to get a bite for a very late lunch since we’d been traveling all day.
5 star hotel Ibiza | Siau Ibiza hotel rooms
There are 7 non-smoking room types over 3 floors to chose from. From your basic garden view room to rooms with private pools and suites. All rooms feature air conditioning, a seating area, flat screen TV, safety deposit box, clothes steamer, coffee machine, mini bar, private bathrooms, bathrobe and slippers and a hairdryer.
If you opt for the Deluxe Premium Club Garden View Swim Up be aware that it’s not really a private pool, you are sharing it with a couple of rooms next to you. However, it does come with additional perks including My Favorite Club Lounge benefits.
We chose the Deluxe Sea View room as a balcony and views are important to us. The view from our 1st floor room was fabulous and perfect for having a drink at sunset before heading out to dinner. Ours was very private and not overlooked.
This room type felt a reasonable size (291 ft²) and the decor was sympathetic to the island and culture. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve ever seen that actually looks better in person than on hotel booking sites.
The bathroom featured a double sink and separate shower and toilet. I loved the look of the stone wash basins and the fact it was an actual hairdryer, not one of the rubbish ones you sometimes find on hotel walls. Sometimes it’s the little things in life that go a long way.
The shower has a glass window into the bedroom which allows for more light to get in.
The room was kept spotless at all times and there was complimentary water. I did have to ask for a flannel/face cloth as that’s not something they usually provide which seems odd.
The beds and pillows were firm and comfortable and we didn’t experience any mosquitoes during our stay. The only complaint we had was that there was a weird knocking sound that kept happening every night that sounded like someone rapping on our door.
Hotel facilities
Although it’s remote, it’s not without life. In fact it’s very much a hotel to relax in the day that comes alive at night with live music and/or a DJ every night. The music goes until around 11pm every night so if you’re an early bird try to request a room away from the music. The rooms windows are all double-glazed but I could still hear the music even with ear plugs.
The highlights for me were the stunning zero edge pool which was the perfect temperature with a Margarita in hand and the breakfast.

Siau Ibiza hotel dining
You can either book a room with breakfast included or do all inclusive. We just did all inclusive as we were planning on going out exploring most days and had a couple of dinner plans as well.
The free buffet breakfast runs each morning from 8:00 AM–11:00 AM. If you need to eat early because of a tour or flight be sure to let reception know the day before so that they can accommodate you.
The breakfast is outstanding and the balcony overlooks the pool and beach. Breakfast includes all of the usual from continental to cooked. Along with various detox juices, made to order omelette and egg stations, and fresh pastries.
Hotel Siau Ibiza restaurants consist of:
3 A La Carte restaurants. We liked the pool menu the best for it’s burgers and sandwiches. The smoked filet is definitely something not to be missed on the evening menu at but they do tend to cook on the more rare side so you might want to order slightly more well done that you normally would.
1 Japanese restaurant which is very small and requires reservations.
1 buffet. When I say buffet, it’s not what you’d normally think and I’d never normally eat a buffet. However, this buffet includes 6 a la carte entrees/mains which change every night. You order from your table and they’re cooked to order.
There’s no standing and waiting in a line or slopping food that’s being held warm onto your plate. The best part is the views though as it’s served in the same restaurant as breakfast. It’s also great value at 35E per person (2023 prices).
Siau Ibiza 5 star hotel service
From check-in to dining, everyone was really nice and helpful. There was no language barrier except for with one lady but to be fair we should be trying to speak Spanish to them not the other way round in their country.

The beach is a super close walk as the hotel is pretty much beach front. The hotel has loungers on the beach but there’s no food or drinks service down there.
