Is Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot the ultimate wrinkle corrector or did I just waste money? An honest review
Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot is Dior Beauty’s newest anti-aging product to hit the Dior Capture Totale skincare line. The day it came out, with it’s lofty claims of instant tightening and 45% fewer visible wrinkles in 4 hours I hit the buy button. Of course I was skeptical but anything that claims to work that fast and that well is worth a try. Especially as the $90 price tag isn’t too eye watering. At least compared to some of their $500+ serums. As someone who recently got hooked on Dior Beauty, we’re talking Platinum status in 3 months, their products are already my favorite part of my skincare routine. It’s not just me, Dior lovers have made their products go viral and sell out again and again. So here’s my honest Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot review.

What is Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot
Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot wrinkle corrector is an intensive wrinkle solution that’s more than just a hyaluronic acid serum. Think of it as a super potent solution to help skin elasticity, hydration, tightening, plumping and a reduction in wrinkles that supposedly offers similar effects to a hyaluronic acid fillers but does it? I’ll get to that.
Besides Dior’s patented hyaluronic acid duo, Hyalushot also contains a peptide selected for its smoothing effect and Longoza extract which their say visibly plump’s skin instantly and over time.

How to use Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot
I was hoping I’d be able to use Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot just occasionally e.g. for date night, girls night out, photoshoots, etc as a quick and immediate fix. Which you can as it does offer immediate results and I can honestly say my face felt instantly plumper and fresher to me.
However, the real benefits of using this wrinkle reducer come from using it twice a day. So my hopes of making it last went out the window and my skincare routine just got even more expensive.
Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot is not a replacement for your serum. Think of it as an additional step in your beauty routine after you’ve applied your serum. It’s then applied to the areas on your face you feel like need help with wrinkles to target the appearance of face wrinkles.
Dior recommends using their Capture Totale serum for the best results and with claims of 2x smoother-looking skin in 1 month when used with Capture Totale Le Sérum I’m following this protocol. If you’re going to do something, do it properly and who doesn’t want smoother looking skin in a month. Plus I also wanted to be able to review it as thoroughly as possible for you.
- Start with a clean and dry face.
- Apply Dior Capture Totale Le Sérum.
- Smooth and then pat in 2-3 drops of Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot using the precision applicator tip to each of the areas needed.
- Once dry apply your eye cream. They recommend Capture Totale Super Potent Eye Serum.
- Finish with your day or night cream. Dior recommends Capture Totale Firming & Wrinkle-Correcting Cream
- Repeat both day and night.
Tips for using Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot
I’ve found less is actually more with this product which is a good thing for making it last longer. I’d also recommend letting it dry down completely before moving onto the next step in your skincare routine as the plant polymers do make it feel a little sticky.
When I used too much it started to pill under my foundation (I was using Dior foundation and all of the other Capture Totale products to reduce the risk of this). So definitely go easy, make sure it’s dry and bounce rather than smear your foundation onto your skin.
Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot review | Does it work?
I applied it exactly as it says to both to my forehead and crows feet. Where I went wrong the first time was applying too much to my forehead. I pretty much covered it as my wrinkles are pretty bad there. Rather than just delicately targeting the actual wrinkle. I also applied too much around 1 eye trying to capture that cover shot for the YouTube thumbnail. So more isn’t more, use it sparingly.

I’m not sure if it was just a placebo effect or if it actually worked but I did feel instantly fresher and skin felt more plumped. And that’s the point…It’s not always about things working but you feeling like their working. It’s whatever makes you feel better and more confidently beautiful. Although if it actually works, even better!
The real results for me came after 4 hours when I went back to do my makeup. I’d left it that long as Dior says 45% fewer visible wrinkles in 4 hours and it’s easier to see if that’s true or not without makeup.
Watch the video and decide for yourself. Is it a miracle fix? No, but I don’t believe there is one. Did I feel like there was a difference and will I keep using it? Yes. I’ll follow this up with a 30 day before and after to see if there were cumulative benefits.
That will be next month though as I’m currently reviewing Dior Prestige La Micro-Huile de Rose Advanced Serum and I don’t like to test more than one product at a time. Although that’s taking all of my will power as their products are so good but otherwise you can’t tell which product is responsible for the results.
Is Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot it worth it
In my opinion yes but it all depends on how much your wrinkles bother you and how much you’re ok spending. Don’t expect a frozen face. It’s not botox in a bottle nor does it claim to be. I did feel like my makeup didn’t settle into my creases quite as much as normal and I did feel more youthful and that to me is worth as much as someone else noticing or not.
