Unique, statement making, limited edition luxury sunglasses that the celebrities love
Saint Owen sunglasses came onto my radar when the brand reached out to me so I wanted to do an authentic review now that I’ve had time to try them. As a fashion blogger I get approached by brands who want featuring all of the time but I’m very selective about who I work with as I’m all about creating trust with you and only sharing pieces I actually love. Which means I always do a lot of research first and then form my own opinion once I have something in hand. So why did I agree to try Saint Owen sunglasses? Is this eco friendly sunglasses brand worth it? If you’re looking for the most fashionable and unique eyewear keep scrolling. Here’s my Saint Owen review including my favorite handcrafted sunglasses styles right now.

Who and what is Saint Owen Sunglasses
Saint Owen are a women owned luxury eyewear brand, known for having some of the best handcrafted sunglasses for both men and women and some of the most fashionable and unique eyewear. They specialize in small production, limited edition eco friendly sunglasses made from recycled, biodegradable, and renewable materials.
It was founded by twin sisters Val Sanders and Michelle Haner. All of their pieces are inspired by their travels and the music industry. They wanted to design eyewear that stood out and made a statement the individual wearing them could connect with.
If you’re looking for quiet luxury that’s logo-free or ethically sourced, eco-friendly, slow fashion sunglasses check out Saint Owen. There’s no name or logo on the frames, just beautifully handcrafted eyewear.
Although if you do like logos, they do have one style, the edgy ‘Nightrain Silver‘ that has the chrome-printed Saint Owen logo on the lenses.
Saint Owen is one of those luxury eyewear brands you’ve probably seen and just not realized. Since their collection is popular with celebrities including Lady Gaga, Machine Gun Kelly, Gabrielle Union-Wade, Emma Roberts, and Elizabeth Banks to name a few.
Saint Owen sunglasses is one of those brands that has something for everyone. From classic to edgy studded aviators, round to angular frames in a variety of colors and finishes.
Another selling point for me is that they’re committed to being ethical and eco-conscious in both their construction and how they use their profits. From the fact that they’re handcrafted at small-scale factories in Italy and Japan, use recycled, biodegradable, and renewable materials such as acetate and dead stock fabric. To the fact that they donate 5% of their profits to the Eden Reforestation Project.
…unique accents such as hand-painted lenses, laminated acetate, and tediously studded frames; the creation of one-of-a-kind details which are entirely exclusive to the brand.

Saint Owen sunglasses review
I love the fact that they’re limited edition and eco friendly sunglasses! I don’t want to sit down in an expensive pair of sunglasses and be wearing the same as the person next to me. Especially as sunglasses are all about individuality and personality.
As much as I love logos, there’s a time and place. I like low key, stealth wealth styles for walking around cities or where I want to feel safe rather than being flashy.
It’s also all about the construction, materials and sun protection when it comes to sunglasses. I have enough sun damage and crows feet from living in Portugal and the Caribbean in my teens and twenties and thinking that Factor 2 Carrot Oil was a good idea! It’s not by the way.
My first impression was how cool the packaging was. One looked like a mini black clutch and the other has leather with suede trim but again, no loud logos or brand names.
Secondly, it was how sturdy these handcrafted sunglasses felt without being overbearingly heavy. You can tell they’re well made from quality materials like Italian acetate.
Saint Owen sunglasses are also very transparent about the sun protection their lenses and sunglasses provide. Their CR-39 and Nylon lenses provide optimal clarity along with full-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. They also have an anti-reflective coating which reduces glare which I tend to suffer from.
Lastly, most of their eyewear are statement making, talking pieces that have personality.
Saint Owen Grace sunglasses
I’ve never owned anything like this style. The overstated brow line shape and angular frame is new for me and it’s fun to try something different. All of their styles are inspired by something and these are inspired by the neo-noir film revival of the 80’s.
The Grace sunglasses come in a few more colors besides tortoise and gold like statement making red, bone and grey, crystal and grey, and black. The lenses on these are supposed to be navy but look more purple to me which I’m not mad about.
- Gold lens frame and nose bridge
- CR 39 Lens with 100% UVA/UVB protection
- Handmade in Italy
- Size 51-19-145
Saint Owen review | Storch aviator sunglasses
These classic aviator sunglasses are on sale and come in more colors than just tortoise and gold. Including black/silver, black/gold and black. The gold metal coordinates with the warm tortoise frames beautifully and the adjustable nose pads make for a more comfortable fit.
They’re sturdy and oversized for lots of sun protection but not too heavy that they put pressure on your nose.
- Tortoise Italian Acetate
- Gold Stainless Steel
- Grey Gradient Lens
- Handmade in Italy
- 100% UVA/UVB Protection
- Size 60-20-149
- Adjustable nose pads with a silicon overlay.
