I tried JLo’s skincare line which promises an immediate and lasting glow, here’s what happened.
An honest JLo skincare review (Gifted)
JLo beauty and JLo Body skin care line was designed to help to give you hydrated skin for that JLo Glow but do they work? I’m always on the look out for hydrating, tightening skincare as I live in the arid desert and am all for fighting the signs of aging. J Lo beauty products and skin care line is cruelty-free and the packaging is stunning but I wanted to see if the collection actually lived up to it’s promises. I’ve been giving her skincare products a go this week and these are the hits and misses for me as well as some more products I want to try next. Here’s my complete JLo skincare review from beauty to body.

What is JLo Beauty
Their tagline is “Beauty has no expiration date®” and the beauty line feels luxurious without having too high a price tag. The formulations have been designed in concentrations to be as effective as possible rather than just to smell pretty.

JLo Beauty Skin Care Ingredients
One of the things besides the glam, golden packaging that made me want to try JLo’s skincare is that it’s cruelty-free. Its’ also formulated without parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, sulfates SLS & SLES, and less than 1% synthetic fragrance.
So if you have sensitive skin, this brand might be worth looking into and trying.
J Lo Skincare Review | Beauty Products First Impressions
Straight out of the box I loved the shiny, golden packaging and cruelty-free ingredients. They’re active, effective but pretty clean and have minimal fragrance. All of her products absorbed pretty quickly and haven’t caused any irritation so far.

JLo Beauty Review
These are the JLo skincare products I tried and tested for the JLo beauty review, my thoughts on each, which I’m hitting the repurchase button on and which I’m skipping.
My one tip I’d share using the serum and face cream is less is more. Otherwise I find they can pill under makeup.
JLo Beauty That Hit Single Gel-cream Cleanser
This is a gentle gel-cream cleanser that you use both am and pm. It’s powered by glycolipids to clear pores and you can tell it’s sulphate free as it creates a thick foam rather than being really bubbly. It comes out fast so turn upside down slowly and squeeze gently if at all. A little goes a long way and it’s one I’ll definitely repurchase.
JLo Beauty That Limitless Glow Sheet Mask
It’s pretty pricey for 1 disposable mask but I did like that it comes in two-pieces so it molds to the contours of your face better. I also liked the loops that went over the ears to keep it in place and that it only takes 10 minutes.
It didn’t feel that hydrating but it did feel like it tightened the skin. It’s not something I’ll be rushing out to stock back up on. As I prefer my Foreo which is faster and includes light, heat and cooling therapy but something to get for girls night in or as a stocking stuffer.
That JLo Glow Serum
A multi-tasking, triple action serum formulated to visibly amp up your glow, brighten and tighten skin’s appearance, and boost hydration.
J Lo Beauty
It absorbs really quickly without leaving a sticky residue and isn’t overly scented. It definitely feels tightening but dries down fast so be careful not to drag your skin. It’s a good summer serum as it doesn’t contain retinol.
JLo Beauty That Blockbuster Cream
This face cream creates the JLo glow with it’s olive complex, potent peptides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and natural ferments to help brighten and smooth your skin.
It can be used both day and night but it felt a little to thick for me for the day. It also pills under makeup if you use too much. So go easy in the day or save it for a super rich and hydrating night cream. Not sure if I’ll be rebuying this or not. I’m going to try again tomorrow using less and see how it goes but it does give an instant glow.
That Overnight Hustle AHA + BHA Resurfacer
I’m off to try this nightly treatment tonight and will update this post tomorrow because I also want to see how my skin looks in the morning.
This nightly resurfacing treatment includes the natural ingredients glycolic acid and lactic acid to gently exfoliate and help dull skin and uneven texture. The aim is to visibly refine texture and improve clarity for even more glowing skin. It claims to also help with dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles, pores, blemishes, and loss of firmness and elasticity!
JLo Body Firm + Flaunt Targeted Booty Balm
How much booty firming this targeted booty balm does I can’t say yet but it does feel immediately cooling on application. You can also use it on your stomach, hips, thighs, arms or wherever you want help reducing the look of stretch marks and extra hydration.
The active ingredients to help with loss of firmness and elasticity are guarana seed extract and pink pepperslim. I’m going to try this for a month before deciding on whether it’s worth buying again but it scored 4/5 stars on Sephora out of over 180 reviews.

I really want to try the Fresh Take eye cream as that’s my problem area for wrinkles. As well as the That Big Screen Moisturizer SPF 30 as the moisturizer I tried didn’t have SPF which means using a separate one afterwards.

Since I loved all of the JLo beauty skincare products of course I had to try JLo Body. So far all of the JLo Body skincare line has been a hit for me. JLo Body comes in the same pretty packing, is cruelty-free, smells good without being overpowering, and definitely hydrates my skin which is hard to prevent from being dry as we live in the desert! The 3 step JLo Body skincare routine:
- Tighten + Tease Ultimate Body Serum with AHAs & niacinamide to brighten & tighten.
- Smooth + Seduce Hydrating Body Cream with caffeine to help contour.
- Firm + Flaunt Targeted Booty Cream – wonder cream for your butt (I’m not applying to my booty in the video as that’s way too much skin 🙈) but it works like a dream & you can feel it working.
JLo Beauty & Body Skincare Line Review – Conclusion
The JLo beauty and JLo Body products do what they say in that they hydrate and give you an instant JLo glow. Price wise, I also think they’re pretty fairly priced and definitely make your bathroom shelves a whole lot prettier.
However, the brand does say the results they claim are based on an 8-week clinical study. So how much they tighten remains to be seen over the next 8 weeks. Especially as products don’t normally work instantly but have a cumulative effect.
Skincare Collection
You know you like a brand when you spend the morning scoping out all of the gift sets, bundles and figuring out what you want to buy next when you already have pretty much everything! I’d definitely buy the That Blockbuster Wonder Cream again to use as a night cream as it made my skin feel super soft and left it glowing.
I’ll update this JLo skincare review as I try more products from the line but so far so good for the price, ingredients, packaging and results.
