Dior Danseuse Etoile Bracelet review | Price, material, pros & cons, worth buying?
My Dior bracelet has long been a go-to jewelry piece for everyday. It’s one of those versatile and classic gold chain bracelets that’s the perfect statement piece for all seasons. I know you’ve seen the Dior gold chain bracelet more formally known as the Dior Danseuse Etoile bracelet which is also very similar to the Dior 30 Montaigne bracelet. At one time that and the Dior Danseuse Etoile gold chain choker were everywhere. While the chunky choker’s disappeared somewhat, the Dior gold bracelet remains a classic. Having now owned it for years, here’s my Christian Dior bracelet review and thoughts on whether I think it’s worth it or not.

Dior Danseuse Etoile VS 30 Montaigne bracelet
The Dior Danseuse Etoile Bracelet is Dior chain gold bracelet with it’s iconic CD initials. It’s one of those classic bracelets that’s instantly recognizable but less seen than the Van Cleef or Cartier bracelet and also a lot more affordable. It’s also a lot harder to get hold of these days.
Because it’s an older style it’s been replaced by the Dior 30 Montaigne bracelet. Which looks very similar, think gold chain with the CD initials in the centre but the chain links are set further apart.
Why I chose this gold Dior bracelet
While Christian Dior bracelets don’t tend to be as popular with celebrities as Van Cleef and Cartier, they’ve still been seen on celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence. That’s one of the things I love about it, that it’s less seen.
Most designer bracelets, however classic, seem to go through phases. From they’re hot, to it seems like everyone’s wearing it, to being forgotten about to making a come back. My first designer bracelet was the Hermes H clic bracelet but when it was everywhere I took a break and fell in love with Dior.
It was actually the Dior Danseuse Etoile choker necklace I saw and wanted first but when I tried it on it just didn’t suit me, it was way too chunky, and I love a good choker. It was also a bit played out as everyone was wearing it from Selling Sunset to Real Housewives to influencers. So I pivoted to the bracelet which I hadn’t seen as much and suited me way better.
Dior Danseuse Etoile Bracelet review
The Dior Danseuse Etoile bracelet is both timelessly elegant but modern bracelet and easy to style with pretty much everything from jeans to dresses. It’s definitely one of my most worn bracelets.
So, let’s start with the pros. It’s never discolored on me but I don’t wear it in the shower. The other thing that’s good and makes this bracelet work for most people is the adjustable lobster clasp which can adjust it from 18-21 cm. I still find that too big and do it up on the chain instead. It’s also one of those jewelry pieces that holds it’s value over time.
On the downside, it can be hard to fasten the lobster clasp by yourself and the dangling end can be annoying. I take it off to type. But to be fair, I never wear any watches or bracelets when I’m working on the computer. It’s also not made of gold but gold-finish metal, so it’s definitely costume jewelry and not fine jewelry.
How much are Dior bracelets
Christian Dior bracelets vary a lot, especially between their fine jewelry and fashion jewelry. However, you can expect to pay $420-890 for their gold bracelets.
Are Dior bracelets worth it
For the price point and how much I wear it, the Dior Danseuse Etoile Bracelet is definitely one of my better jewelry purchases and I know I’ll wear it for years to come. So if you’re looking for a designer bracelet, any one of Dior’s gold bracelets is definitely a great designer jewelry entry piece that’s versatile and a lot more affordable than Van Cleef or Cartier bracelets.
I have had great cost per wear from mine as I wear it all of the time. I normally wear my Dior gold chain bracelet in the day with jeans or more casual outfits. However, I will sometimes wear it out in the evening for pre dinner drinks or a more casual dinner. It’s just not something I personally find dressy enough to wear with cocktail dresses or gowns.
I also prefer it style wise to Cartier as the screws and nails just aren’t my style, they’re a bit too punk for me. Now, I love Van Cleef but that’s still on my wishlist as it’s the diamond versions I’d want.
Where to buy Dior bracelets
The Dior Danseuse Etoile bracelet is not currently available in Dior boutiques but you can pick it up pre-loved on places like Fashionphile and the Real Real which I’ll link below. However, like I mentioned earlier, the Dior 30 Montaigne gold chain bracelet is very similar, the chain links are just more spread out and it’s still in Dior boutiques.
