March’s wardrobe refresh
What to buy in March? This month after spring cleaning my closet I’m starting to shop for the pieces that I’m missing to complete whole outfits and make them on trend and fashionable in 2021. The list includes a neutral fedora, white flats and a white clutch as they go with everything. Voluminous dresses which are trending now and gold jewelry to add some glam to all of my outfits. Here’s my spring shopping list of what I’m buying in March for Spring fashion as well as Summer to complete my outfits.
1. Neutral Fedora | Rancher Hat
Beige, cream and white are the colors to shop for a Fedora or Rancher hat in 2021. Yes, they’re still in fashion this year. I’m going for white rather than beige which tends to wash me out. There are so many neutral shades available you can find the shade that’s most flattering on you. The lighter colors are more suited to the warmer months than darker shades. Plus they offer some sun protection and cover up roots for when your hair appointments due.
I chose this hat from Urban Outfitters as it’s got a stiffened brim so hopefully it’ll hold it’s shape better, I liked the color and it was under $50.
2. Voluminous Spring Dresses
Puff sleeves and voluminous skirts are staying in fashion for 2021. The more volume the better. I’ve ordered lots in pretty pastel colors, florals and whites to brighten up my Spring wardrobe. This one is under $50 from ASOS, I’m wearing the petite version but it’s also in their regular collection. It’s a little see-through so you either need to wear a bra or use it as a swimsuit coverup. It’s an bright, airy and fresh option for Spring and Summer.
3. White Flat Slide Sandals
I ended up choosing these slides from SHEIN (I’m wearing them in the photo of the white dress) from the 20 slide sandals I shared with you. I wanted white because they go with everything and decided to splurge not save since they’re white and will probably only last and stay looking fresh for one season. Since woven and quilted shoes and bags started trending last year, I’m not sure how long it will last beyond 2021. I like to save on seasonal trends and splurge on classics or iconic trending statement pieces.
4. Gold Necklace | Chunky, Layered or Pendant

Another trend that’s staying around this Summer is long gold layering necklaces and chunky gold chain necklaces. I love jewelry, statement pieces and anything sparkly so am stocking up on lots of these. The gold chain necklaces have got an update this year with pendants (as seen at Chloe and Tory Burch).
5. White Clutch
I’m not normally a clutch girl as I like to have my hands free but I loved how soft and unstructured this bag looked. If you prefer more structured bags, have a look at the ones I was torn between shopping for.
This bag’s trending all over Instagram but my husband didn’t like this one. He said it looked like a white bean so the hunt continues. I might get another one with pearls or buy a pearl chain designed to clip onto any of your bags you already have.
