Influencers and celebrities like Taylor Hill in New York, Doja Cat at Paris fashion week and Nadia Farès at Christian Dior Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer have all jumped on this cozy trend, here’s how to get the look.

Including Stella McCartney, 16Arlington, Michael Kors, Akris, Gucci, and Bally all showing various lengths and colors of faux fur coats on the runways for Fall/Winter 2024.
The styling for the faux fur coat trend 2024 is a little different. Yes the way to style it can be and often is glamorous but there’s also a little juxtaposition this season. Think a luxe looking faux fur coat with jeans for the day not just with cocktail dresses or over mini skirts and crop tops.

One it makes washing it easier and two, if and when the faux fur collar trend dies just remove it. Even better, combine a few trends like a faux fur hooded puffer jacket, or a colorful style.

This is the black faux fur coat I ended up with. It’s a perennial classic you can wear year after year and definitely warm! I sized down in this one as the reviews said it runs big.
It’s also super soft and has pockets which is always a bonus. I personally think it’s terrific value for money and works with everything from adding a luxe touch to every day outfits to a cozy layer over cocktail dresses.
Crop it! Crop faux fur coats
Another way to rock the faux fur coat trend for 2024 is with a cropped faux fur jacket. Since bare midriff tops and crop tops and blazers have been in all of 2024 so it only makes sense that cropped jackets were next for Winter 2024. They also work well with the high waisted pants trending this season to keep the draft out.
This one also comes in other colors and is super warm and cozy. Just make sure you have your dry cleaner on speed dial and a Tide stain remover stick in your purse. I’ll be keeping my coffee away from this one.
This black faux fur coat is the softest jacket I own and is a steal for under $100. It’s also so versatile as you can wear it with jeans or leather pants just as easily as you can with cocktail dresses and gowns.
This brown faux fur coat was my sisters that she handed down to me about 20 years ago! Since you can’t buy it anymore, I found a really close match on Revolve that’s a rich chocolate brown jacket and right on trend.

The most fun and on trend of all of these coats. If you want the most fashion forward look grab a colorful coat. Just make sure it’s more of a luxe faux fur than shiny faux fur to avoid looking tacky or like a clown.
