Whether that’s blue, black or white skinny jeans they’re all slowly edging their way back into fashion. Don’t believe me, check out Gucci, Prada, Celine, Diesel & Blumarines Fall Winter and Spring 2024 fashion shows. They all showed either women’s skinny jeans, leggings or extremely slim fitting pants. There will be lovers and haters on their comeback but don’t worry, looser fit jeans are still in style too. The idea of fashion trends is not to wear them all but to pick the ones that work for you. As a petite girl that looks ridiculous in baggy styles, I’m here for this and have been waiting for them to make a come back.

Yes skinny jeans are back in style for 2024. They’re not a major fashion trend like wide leg or cargo jeans but they’re definitely not a fashion faux pas like they have been for the last few years. They were all over the Paris streets at Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024. As well as at Prada, Gucci, Diesel, Celine and Blumarine’s Fall Winter fashion shows. Even Meghan Markle’s been seen out and about in black skinny jeans, styled with knee high boots and a camel tone wrap coat.
When I went to source the best women’s skinny jeans for this article, styles like Levi’s 501 Skinny were showing ‘Best seller, in demand’, 16 sold in the last 48 hours on Revolve. That’s when you know something’s hot!
While they’re not one of the biggest denim predictions like wide-leg, barrel-leg, Utilitarian, embellished, flared in mid to darker. However, they can be a lot more flattering for the most part than barrel leg aka balloon pants and easier to create more classic looks with.

Diesel Co-ed Spring 2024 Ready To Wear Fashion Show saw models in blue skinny jean pantaboots (the style that are both pants and boots in one) styled on their own as well as being layered under denim skirts. Even some of their acid wash cargo pants were until slim fit.
Saint Laurent saw high waisted skim fit jeans styled elegantly with high neck satin shirts and sleek black stiletto heels.
Celine’s Winter collection showed the skinniest of blue jeans styled with knee high black boots, shirts and sparkly blazers.
Prada styled their ecru skinny jeans with matching shirts, heeled Mary Janes and oversized blazers.
At first, the sight of tight skinny trousers on the runway made a throng of people look away in disgust, not wanting to relive the early 2010s once more. But then, you notice the carefully pre-wrinkled bags, blazers and skirts, a meticulous commentary on working culture.
