Revolve Try On Haul *NEW* Fall Fashion 2023 | What I ordered VS what I got
Fall outfit ideas and inspiration from casual wardrobe essentials to glam going out outfits to cute Fall outfits that are right on trend for Fall 2023. I just got my Revolve Fall outfits delivery so thought I’d do a Revolve try on haul of all of the Fall fashion and outfits I picked out for Fall/Winter 2023-2024. Including roll neck sweaters, cute tops and bodysuits for layering, jeans, sweater dresses for Autumn outfit ideas for 2023 and some glam dresses for the evening. Here’s what I ordered VS what I got in reality! The hits that I’ll be wearing on repeat, anything that hit the return pile and Fall outfit ideas to get the most wear out of all of these pieces.

Fall outfit ideas and inspiration 2023
I’ll keep adding to this Fall outfit idea article when I get this months delivery so that there’s lots more cute Fall outfit ideas. As I need to get some new white knee high boots and jackets for layering as it gets colder.
I ordered everything in a size XS besides the GRLFRND jeans which are a size 24.
1. Casual Fall outfit idea with Superdown pink bodysuit
I love the color and fit of this Superdown pink bodysuit. I actually liked it so much, I ordered it in black too. I find it runs true to size and it’s on the more affordable side which is a winning combination. The cut out neck line also makes it a bit more interesting than your basic bodysuit to create these Autumn outfit ideas for 2023:
- Style this top with black joggers and sneakers for a casual cute fall outfit for everyday.
- Wear it with belted jeans and pumps for a dressier look.
- Black leather pants and ankle boots or stiletto pumps look sexy and edgy for the evening.
- When it gets a bit colder add a blazer or jacket.
I tend to prefer bodysuits to style with baggier pieces like black leather joggers or loose fit jeans to create some kind of a waistline. I also prefer long sleeve bodysuits to sweaters for the most part. As I tend to overheat in sweaters. Whereas bodysuits are great for layering.
2. Cozy and cute Autumn outfit ideas 2023 | Cable knit mini sweater dress
This navy and white sweater dress is such a great wardrobe basic that can be worn with flats or heels. It’s one of those super versatile dresses for layering that you can wear so many ways for most seasons and dress up or down.
Plus cable knit sweater dresses are a major fashion trend for Fall 2023. The material doesn’t need ironing and the pearl and crystal buttons elevate it from your basic sweater dress.
Style this piece with:
- Flats, heels or boots.
- Bare legs, leggings or tights.
- On it’s own or under a coat or jacket
3. Sexy Fall outfit inspiration | Michael Lauren Cold shoulder top
If you’re looking for a black top that’s a little different and sexier to elevate a basic pair of jeans this Michael Costello cute cold shoulder top is perfect. The gold chain detailing makes it look a lot dressier than a basic black sweatshirt.
I wasn’t expecting it to be so thick and warm. So it’s going to be more of a Winter sweatshirt for me. As the material is thick and cozy sweater material with a super soft lining. It’s one of those sweaters that looks better tucked in with baggier trousers or jeans, or loose with leggings to keep proportions in check.
If you’re looking for a good day to night outfit, this is a great piece to create sexy fall outfits with either black or blue jeans or black pants. Oh, and did I mention is has thumb holes! Your shoulder might be cold but your hands will be warm!
4. Back to basics Fall outfit idea with trending jeans brand GRLFRND
I’ve never owned GRLFRND jeans before but the brand is trending and the reviews are great so I caved in. I’d tried Agolde before ordering these and those had been a miss for me. I listened to the reviews which said this style runs true to size and they do. They fit like a glove.
I love the silhouette of these jeans but had to have them tailored as they run long. I chose them as they’re so different to the fit of all of my skinny jeans which aren’t really in style this season and they don’t cut in anywhere they shouldn’t.
Use these jeans to create everything from casual to happy hour Fall outfits. I’m creating these Autumn outfit ideas for 2023 with these jeans:
- Pump stiletto pumps (court shoes), a black or white t-shirt and blazer.
- Heels, solid color t-shirt or fitted sweater and another major Fall 2023 trend: a trench coat.
- Ankle boots and roll neck sweaters.
- Strappy heels since the side slits means you can see shoe details, a sexy bodysuit and gold accessories like Gorjana who I’ve been getting into this Fall.
5. On trend Fall outfit idea: LPA red roll neck sweater
This deep red sweater is perfect for creating so many cute Fall outfits with. Roll neck AKA turtleneck sweaters can be a nightmare to get on and off and to keep makeup away from so I love the looser fit of this sweatshirt. Which also feels a lot less suffocating. The cut out neckline also make this a more fashion forward option than your basic red roll neck sweater.
It is a thicker top, so it’s one you can wear for both Fall and Winter. When trying it on I found that doing a half tuck rather than leaving it loose or doing a full tuck looked the most flattering when styling it with jeans or jean shorts.
It’s one of those colors that works with blue, black or white jeans and is right on trend for a Fall outfit for 2023.
6. Sexy and cute Fall outfit for day to night | Bodycon sweater dress
I have so many sweater dresses but as soon as I saw this Michael Costello sweater dress I knew I’d get a lot of wear from it. It’s one of those more flattering bodycon midi dresses that are easy pull off for both the day or night. The crossover halter neckline takes a little styling to get it to lay right but it so worth it.
Autumn outfit ideas 2023: I’ll be styling it with strappy sandals, stiletto pumps and knee high boots. I personally prefer it belted but you do you.
7. Sexy Fall outfit idea | Long sleeve pink mini dress
For some glam, going out Fall outfit inspiration check out this pink dress. I already have this Michael Costello dress in black and gold crystals so as soon as I saw it in hot pink it went in my shopping bag.
It’s thick enough to not need a bra unless you want to and be warm enough for a Fall outfit but not so thick it becomes a sweater dress. I find it runs true to size and even managed to eat nachos in it if you’re worried about the sleeves.
I’ve been styling it with my sparkly Gucci heels and crystal top handle bag but another Fall outfit idea would be to style it with cream or black tall boots.
8. Office to drinks workwear Fall outfit idea 2023
Another sweater dress because like I said, they’re my go-to Fall outfit. This one’s lighter weight and I have it in both black and navy. Style it with ballet pumps, heels, boots with or without tights to keep this Lovers + Friends sweater dress on repeat.
Pro styling tip: look for unique details like pearl, crystal or gold buttons for a more elevated look.
9. Going out Fall outfit ideas | Crystal mini dress
If you’re looking for an ultra glam Fall outfit idea for 2023, it’s hard to beat this Retrofete Crystal mini dress that’s on sale. It runs short and is very plunging so I took a button from the bottom and moved it to the top.
This dress is the statement piece so keep other accessories like bags and heels to more minimalistic styles. It’s also very thick and heavy which makes it the perfect Fall outfit that will also work for Winter and Christmas parties too.
10. Cozy Autumn outfit idea 2023 | The piece that works as a sweater and sweater dress
As you can see, a lot of my Fall outfit inspiration is based around sweater dresses. What sold me on this Fall sweater besides the different color options available was the fact that it can be worn as a sweater or sweater dress. Whether that’s with bare legs or over jeans, leggings or tights to create so many cute Fall outfit ideas with. The neckline is also loose enough to not feel suffocating but high enough to be warm.
For a cute Fall outfit, style with or without leggings or tights and ankle or knee high boots. For a sexier look, go bare legged with high heel boots. I tend to style the cream version as a more monochromatic look and the pink with white or cream boots.
