I’m loving all of the slingback heels, ballet slippers, wedges, glam sandals, flip flops, loafers and Mary Jane shoes we’ll all be wearing this Summer and trending flats for 2024. I’m personally skipping the kitten heels trend, I can’t think of anything less flattering but you do you. Here’s the biggest 2024 Summer shoe trends to jump on now. There are lots of retro shapes trending for womens 2024 summer shoes and I’m all on favor of anything that elongates my legs which a lot of this years summer heels definitely do. Although I’ll be the skipping both the swiffers and kitten heels. I’m not here to clean your floors and they seem ridiculously unhygienic. When it comes to kitten heels, are they really even a heel?!

Loafers are probably the most comfortable and practical of these trending shoes for Summer 2024 and expect the trend to keeping going for Fall and Winter too. It’s the model off duty shoe of choice this season that Hailey Bieber keeps being spotted in. While chunky sole loafers are the most on trend, I personally prefer to invest in more classic styles that I can wear year after year.

2. Women’s heel sandals 2024 trends | Mules and open toe sandals
Heeled mules are a classic summer shoe that always seems to be back in style every Summer. They’re are another shoe trend that’s still going strong from last Summer so time to get your Summer pedicures. These are the white heeled mules I have, which I find run true to size. They’re my go to summer heels for 2024 when I want something a bit lower than my white platforms.
These super cute styles are perfect styled with all of your summer dresses and jean shorts. While a lot of mules tend to be kitten heels like Manolo Blahnik Maysale there are lots of higher heel versions around this year. I tend to go for the pyramid heels so they don’t sink into the grass.
I went for white as it’s such a versatile color but there are so many fun styles and colors around this Summer to be able to create trending monochromatic looks. Plus the heel isn’t too high and is thicker for walking across the grass at parties and the races.

3. Women’s Summer Shoe Trends 2024 | Kitten heels
Another super practical and functional women’s shoe trend for Summer 2024. People seem to either love them or hate them. I’m in the hate them camp as they do nothing for my short, muscular legs but a lot of my tall friends love them.
This years summer fashion trends has so many retro silhouettes and trends coming back. From retro bags to shoes and clothing. The kitten heels to wear this summer are barely there. The lower the better for this micro heel trend.

This is obviously a 2024 shoe trend I’m all over. Give me a high stiletto heel for some power dressing any day. It’s set to be one of the most popular heels of Spring/Summer 2024 and was definitely one of the most seen style of shoes on the Spring Summer 2024 runways. I bought my gladiator sandals in Greece back in 2015 and have been waiting for them to come back in style again. For the most seamless and leg lengthening look with knee high sandals go for tan and neutral colors that won’t cut off your leg line.
For an edgier look the black ankle length and shorter styles give contrast to white summer dresses. What I love about so many of the trending shoes and flats this year is that they’re practical, comfortable and make a statement, they’re not just there.

It’s not the first or the last time ballet flats will be in style. Now I know I already mentioned open toe mules but the biggest summer shoe trend that’s been emerging is closed toe heel mules. More specifically Prada’s green satin square toe ballerina mule pumps. They’re definitely not the most practical shoe, we all know how long satin shoes stay clean for!
